We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Mursalat is an apartment district in the far southeast corner of Jeddah close to the Bahrah governorate boundary, with residential blocks and flats for rent and sale lining the Jeddah Makkah Expressway. Its position between the sea and heavy roads means curtains trap black diesel soot and oily fumes from trucks alongside dampness drifting from the coast. The dust is dark, oily and thick, and the smell is musty and mouldy. Cleaning demands specialised handling of soot and moisture and embedded mildew.
Curtains here feel damp and smell mouldy, and even new fabric shows signs of mould and accelerated wear much faster than in other parts of the city. For the method itself, see our curtain cleaning service in detail.
The Jeddah Makkah Expressway carries heavy trucks all day and night, and diesel soot and engine fumes enter flats continuously. Soot is black and greasy and embeds deep in curtains. Ordinary washing will not lift it; special products are needed to dissolve the oils and deep soaking. Shaking leaves the grease on the cloth.
Proximity to the sea means high humidity is constant, and curtains absorb moisture continuously even on apparently dry days. Soot and dampness together create ideal conditions for mould and fungi. Mouldy smell soaks deep into fabric and may not vanish entirely even after cleaning. Fast drying and ventilation are absolutely critical.
Rented flats in crowded buildings receive no good ventilation, and moisture and smells linger in corridors and stairwells. Curtains in flats near entrances or close to damp areas are affected more. Cleaning must understand that pollutants come not just from the flat's own window but from the shared environment.
An apartment district in the far southeast corner of Jeddah near the Bahrah boundary, with residential blocks and rental flats, the Jeddah Makkah Expressway running through, Al Huthaifat quarter and cemetery to the north, high humidity and heavy traffic soot.
Fabrics in rented flats may be mixed quality, so testing first determines the safe method between vigorous and cautious washing.
Removing curtains from hooks corroded by constant moisture and soot requires care so hardware does not break.
Dry vacuum and shaking are reasonably vigorous to remove heavy soot, but not so violent as to damage sensitive cloth.
Soot and mould stains need separate treatment, soot with special products and mould with anti-fungal agents.
Washing method is vigorous enough to tackle soot and mould together but balanced to avoid damage to the fabric.
Drying is fast in moderate or dry air using equipment if needed, with fabric spread for complete and rapid air circulation.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Mursalat too, and more than one can share a single visit.
