We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Huthaifat is a small informally built quarter on the southeast edge of Jeddah near the Old Makkah Road, with scattered low houses on unplanned streets and no clear boundaries between properties. Housing is simple and modest, and curtains are old, mixed and worn. The soiling is a mixture of coarse dust from open ground and black soot from trucks on nearby roads. Curtains here hold both together, and cleaning demands extreme care because fabrics are fragile and contamination is deep. Navigation requires local knowledge because the district is not on an ordered street plan.
Curtains here are very old and housing is simple, and owners may not invest in cleaning if they believe demolition and redevelopment are coming soon. For the method itself, see how we approach curtain cleaning.
The small informal district contains no modern or luxury curtains. Fabrics are old and simple and have been weakened by years of dust and moisture. Weave is thin and fibres are brittle. Cleaning must be extremely gentle because vigorous washing may tear the cloth completely. Manual testing before any chemical treatment is essential.
The quarter sits between open land that sends coarse sand and heavy roads that send soot, and the two mix together on curtains. Moisture from open ground after rain adds to dry soot. Dual pollutants need a balanced approach to remove both sand and soot at once.
With no formal street plan and no clear boundaries between homes, wind enters from every direction and dust settles easily. Simple houses may have poor window and door seals. Curtains trap everything that enters through openings and cracks, and soiling builds faster than in well-sealed homes.
A small informally built quarter on the southeast edge of Jeddah near the Old Makkah Road, with scattered low houses on unplanned streets and no formal street grid. The area sits between open ground and main roads, with the Al Huthaifat cemetery nearby.
Very old and weak fabrics need extremely careful manual testing before any chemical treatment or water contact.
Removing curtains from weak hooks that may also be corroded requires care so hardware does not break or leave rust marks.
Shaking is very gentle with a soft brush or light hand rather than vigorous motion that could tear the weave.
Stains from mixed pollutants may not disappear completely if fabric is too fragile, so we focus on removing what we can without damage.
Washing method is extremely gentle and may use only warm water without harsh products on very brittle fabric.
Drying is very slow in quiet surroundings, with fabric laid out or hung with extreme care and may not dry fully before rehang.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Al Huthaifat is identified by the Al Huthaifat cemetery marking its north and east boundaries, and the Old Road passes nearby with the expressway forming a western edge. Finding individual homes depends on local knowledge because streets are unplanned, and we ask property owners for precise directions to locate each address.
We provide these in Al Huthaifat too, and more than one can share a single visit.
