The right gear for drinking water
Pumps to clear sludge, scrubbing to remove biofilm, and disinfectant meant for potable storage.

Khaleej Salman is a coastal stretch on the Red Sea north of Dhahban, where chalets and rest houses stand among land subdivisions still being developed around a shallow winding bay. The seaside location means very high humidity year round, salt air deposits a white film on every outdoor surface, and sea spray reaches the tanks on the wind. Chalets are used seasonally so tank water may sit still for months, and moisture and salt together drive algae and black mould growth at an unusual speed.
Coastal chalets are occupied seasonally; a tank may sit full of still water for a month unused. Green algae and black mould grow fast in damp coastal weather, and water may turn green before anyone drinks it. For the method itself, see what water tank cleaning involves.
Chalets close for months, tank water sits still without refreshing, algae grows fast in stagnant damp water. When a chalet owner returns, they may find green water or a strong musty smell.
Relative humidity stays at 70 to 90 percent year round, and salt air enters the tank on every breeze. Green algae thrives in damp salty conditions, and black mould colonises tank corners at an unusually rapid rate.
Sea salt rusts metal and corrodes seals at speed. A metal lid may creak with rust after one season. Gaskets may weaken and leak, and even a new tank may become structurally weak within a year.
A relatively quiet coastal area on the Red Sea with chalets and developing land, very high humidity and constant sea salt in the air through the entire year.
Inspection focuses on rust, seals, green algae and black mould; you may see a slippery green film on walls.
Complete draining; water may be green or brown from algae, mould and salt. We handle it carefully and dispose of it safely.
Sediment is a mix of algae, mould and salt, extraction takes a long time, and algae traces may remain on walls; preliminary soaking may be needed.
Hand scrubbing is vigorous. Green algae needs concentrated scrubbing to lift, and black mould in corners requires special attention.
Disinfection here is mandatory and may be at higher strength because algae and mould need strong disinfection. Final rinses must be repeated multiple times.
Lid and seals are inspected closely; complete seal and lid replacement may be recommended if they are rusty or weak.
The supply into the tank is shut and the tank is drained completely.
The sludge on the floor is scooped and pumped out first.
The biofilm on the walls is physically scrubbed off.
With the walls and floor clean, a disinfectant made for drinking-water storage is applied and given time to act on every surface.
The disinfectant and any loosened residue are rinsed down and pumped out, so the first tank of water after us is not carrying it.
We check the cover seal and inlet before refilling, so dust and insects stay out, then start the refill while you watch it run clear.
Khaleej Salman sits about 8.5 km from Al Shati Al Thahabi and about 11 km from Al Zumurrud.

We send a team, not one person, so a tank is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled in a single visit rather than left open for days.
We look at the lid seal and inlet, because a tank that got dirty fast usually has a way in.
Nothing is closed until the tank is refilling and you have seen the water run clean.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the tank is disinfected, refilling, and you have seen it for yourself.
North Jeddah is largely newer villa districts and compounds around Obhur and inland from it. Homes here tend to have marble or porcelain floors, large windows and a garden or courtyard, so the routine is set by what comes in from outside: fine sand carried on sandals, and sprinkler spray that dries to a chalky ring on tiles. Near the creek and the coast, sea air leaves a faint salt film on glass and on outdoor cushions, which stiffens fabric. Curtains and upholstery in these open plan rooms catch the dust that settles overnight.
We provide these in Khaleej Salman too, and more than one can share a single visit.
