We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden edge is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Sahel sits directly on the Red Sea corniche where salt air and high humidity attack the mattress year round, causing ongoing mould growth and musty odours. Salt and moisture together demand deep cleaning and exceptional drying to prevent the problem recurring within weeks.
Musty smell and mould spots reappear within the first few weeks after cleaning if the drying is not absolutely complete throughout the mattress. For the method itself, see our guide to mattress cleaning.
Coastal zones live with salt in the air year round that settles on fabric and works into the mattress depth. Salt traps moisture in the fibres and speeds bacterial and mould growth, so drying must be intense and fast to prevent rapid regrowth.
Permanent humidity from the sea and salt air together create ideal conditions for mould. If water is not extracted with absolute force after cleaning, mould returns within a few weeks and the mattress smells again.
Roads near the coast in south Jeddah carry heavy truck traffic that leaves oily soot. Sea salt bonds this soot to fibres more aggressively than dry dust alone, requiring strong chemical treatment before vacuum can move it.
Beachfront location where permanent humidity and airborne salt affect every textile in the home throughout the year without break.
We check the fabric type first because sea salt may have already damaged some delicate covers or weakened the fibres.
Double deep dry vacuum is essential here to remove salt particles and surface mould spores before any water touches the mattress.
Stain treatment focuses on salt deposits and black mould marks, not routine stains, using gentle products that won't further weaken salt-damaged fibres.
Cleaning and extraction happen quickly with no pauses that would allow extra moisture to settle back into the foam.
Wet extraction here is more powerful than other areas; we use strong equipment to pull maximum water from the foam in one aggressive pass.
Airing and heating must happen together: windows open wide, powerful fans running, and we may use gentle heat to accelerate drying speed substantially.
A quilted cotton cover, a knitted stretch cover and a synthetic surface do not take the same heat or solution.
Before any water.
A sweat stain is worked differently from a spilled drink or a child's accident.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres, by the method that suits the mattress, and lift the residue to the surface, worked across the top, the sides and the underside in turn.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the mattress with you before the team leaves.
Coastal area: high humidity and salt air through the year
Coastal character means permanent humidity and salt in the air every day of the year. The mattress needs exceptional cleaning and drying because salt and mould return quickly in this climate. Even slightly incomplete drying will allow mould and odours to reappear within weeks.
Testing the solution on a hidden edge is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and wet-extraction machines come with the team.
If what you have is a bed-bug problem rather than a dirty mattress, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Sahel too, and more than one can share a single visit.
