We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Rughamah is a relatively older district in east Jeddah between hills and wadis near Wadi Al Qaws, with mixed shops and homes. Curtains here trap the coarser, paler dust of the valleys and the deep moisture that sits in them. Fabric may be weak and cleaning needs careful handling to avoid damage.
Curtains here trap coarser, paler dust than coastal or expressway dust. Deep moisture from the wadis makes them heavy and smelly even after shaking. For the method itself, see the full curtain cleaning page.
Wadis and hills around the district lift dust that is paler and coarser than coastal dust or road dust. Particles are bigger but less deep. Curtains turn grey from the coarse dust.
Wadis and hills around the district draw deep moisture into the air. Curtains absorb it and grow heavy and smelly. Drying takes a long time.
The district is old and flats are old and curtains have not been changed. Fabric is very weak from time. Removal may tear curtains so extreme care is needed.
A district in east Jeddah that is home to Al Tawfeeq Mosque, one of the area's mosques, within the hills and valley belt east of the city near Wadi Al Qaws, one of the relatively older residential districts in this part of Jeddah.
Fabric is old and fittings may be rusted and weak. We test everything with great care. Removal may be risky to weak weave.
Removal takes a long time and extreme care. Very weak fabric may tear during removal. We may need two people for safe removal.
Dry vacuum takes a moderate time. Coarse dust from wadis comes out easier than fine dust. But moisture makes it cling slightly.
Stains from dust and moisture need careful treatment. We rub very gently because fabric is very weak. We may skip some stains if risk is high.
Washing in cold water because fabric is so weak. No hard wringing and drying is very gentle. We may let curtains dry by gravity very slowly.
Rehang may need new fittings if original ones are too weak. We rehang curtains with extreme care and make sure fittings are safe.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Rughamah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
