We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Rimal is a newly emerging subdivision at the far south of Jeddah, sitting inland of Al Marsa within the same cluster of outlying districts. Building progresses slowly, with villas and apartments rising on bare sandy ground. The air here carries coastal humidity but less salt than nearer the shore, and fine sand drifts in from every crack and gap.
Curtains here soil from fine sand and faint salt faster than inland districts. New homes are not yet sealed tight so sand enters easily even when windows are closed. For the method itself, see our guide to curtain cleaning.
Desert and coastal fine sand enters windows, doors and small gaps. Curtains close to glass collect thick sand buildup. Strong dry vacuuming and patient washing gradually remove it.
Coastal air carries dampness and light salt. This makes curtains tacky and heavy. Washing in fresh water and thorough rinsing removes both salt and moisture together.
New homes are still under completion. Windows may not seal tightly. Sand and moisture enter freely. Repeated cleaning may be necessary until building finishes.
The subdivision is new and coastal but slightly inland from the beach. The ground is bare sand. Building is gradual and little mapped infrastructure yet. Winds from the sea bring moisture and sand together.
New coastal fabrics are sensitive to sand and salt together. We test first and use cool water only. Hard washing may damage new textiles.
Removing curtains from new windows is straightforward. Sand may have entered the rings so we clean them during removal. Rehang goes on clean metal only.
Dry vacuuming removes most fine sand. Moderate vacuum power is safe and effective. Gentle soaking may help if sand is sticky.
Salt deposits on fabric need very extended rinsing in fresh water. Damp marks are rare but we handle them carefully. Sand and salt together need repeated rinsing.
New fabrics wash in cool water only. Rinsing is very frequent to remove all salt and sand residue. We never use electric dryers on new sensitive textiles.
Fast drying in moving air slows moisture return. Quick rehang may reduce mildew risk. Ventilation for hours after hanging completes drying.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
New villas and apartments here have fresh curtains but construction is ongoing and unpaved roads surround them. Sand, dust and moisture enter together into homes still being finished. We know how to handle new fabrics and coastal building site challenges at the same time.
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Rimal too, and more than one can share a single visit.
