We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Marsa is a newly emerging residential subdivision at the far south of Jeddah and close to the shore, with villas and apartments rising slowly on vacant sandy ground. The air here is thick with sea moisture and salt. Dust is finer and paler than inland. Large modern windows admit humid sea air directly. New curtains absorb moisture fast and feel heavy and damp.
Curtains here feel heavy with dampness far sooner than inland districts. Salt from the air settles on the fabrics and makes them slightly tacky and heavy even a week after purchase. For the method itself, see what curtain cleaning involves.
Coastal humidity carries sea salt that settles on the weave. This makes curtains sticky and heavy. Washing in fresh water several times lifts the salt. Thorough rinsing is critical to remove every trace of salt from the fibres.
Construction on site lifts damp sand from the subsurface layer. This sand enters new homes and sticks to curtains. Dry vacuuming and washing remove it, but curtains may need frequent cleaning while building continues.
New homes in coastal areas may lack the ventilation to dry quickly after cleaning. Moisture returns fast. We dry well and recommend strong ventilation after rehang to slow mildew growth.
The subdivision is new and the location is coastal. The air is saturated with moisture and salt from the sea nearby. The sandy ground rises around new buildings, allowing moisture to enter from all sides.
New coastal fabrics absorb salt and moisture very fast. We test first and use fresh water only for rinsing. Salt water or brackish water does not remove salt, it traps it.
Removing curtains from new windows is straightforward. However moisture makes the rails sticky, so we clean them during removal. Rehang goes on clean and dry metal only.
Dry vacuuming removes surface sand. Fine damp sand may not lift with vacuuming alone so we soak first. Moderate vacuum power is safe and effective.
Salt deposits on fabric are treated with extended fresh water rinsing. Damp marks are rare but we handle them carefully. Excess moisture is removed by soaking and thorough rinsing.
New fabrics wash in cool water only. Rinsing is very frequent to remove all salt and moisture residue. Drying may take longer than in dry inland areas.
Fast drying in strong moving air slows mildew return. Quick rehang may reduce mildew risk. Air ventilation for hours after hanging helps complete drying thoroughly.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Al Marsa sits near the Al Lith Road on the coastal side and is wrapped by the Ring Road from the east. It is accessible from any direction via these main routes, and our work is planned according to whichever main road is closest to your home.
We provide these in Al Marsa too, and more than one can share a single visit.
