The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Rimal is a far south Jeddah plan still in early development, surrounded by vacant plots and ongoing building. The dust here is heavy and mixed with diesel soot from roads and the nearby industrial zone, settling on chandeliers quickly and resisting removal. Coastal humidity from the south makes metals rust prone. Ceilings may vary depending on building stage, and electrical wiring is new but may not yet be fully secured.
The plan currently lacks clear public facilities, and internal roads may be incomplete. Access to some homes can be complicated at times. For the method itself, see how we approach chandelier cleaning.
Proximity to main roads and the industrial zone south of Jeddah means heavy dust mixed with diesel soot. This combination sticks firmly to crystal and resists surface wiping, requiring chemical cleaning and separate washing.
Empty land around the plan means winds carrying fine grey dust from bare earth. This dust enters homes continuously and settles on fixtures; grey dust may leave a grey layer on crystal.
The plan is under development and wiring may be provisionally connected or not yet fully documented. Initial inspection is essential, and some fittings may not yet be fully secured.
The district lies at the far south of Jeddah within an outlying cluster of plans, with vacant land between newly built homes, and construction still in early stages.
Type may be new or mid-age depending on building stage. Initial inspection verifies fittings are secure.
Power-off requires care as wiring is new and may not yet be fully documented.
Pre-removal photography is essential even with simple chandeliers, for correct reassembly.
Each crystal is washed in warm water with specialist cleaners to lift soot and heavy dust.
Frame and metals need gentle brushing to remove soot and oxidation, with additional humidity protection.
Reassembly is careful and lit inspection confirms everything is secure.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
A new development means vacant plots and ongoing building around homes. Grey dust and black soot from the industrial zone and heavy roads settle with force. Electrical wiring is new but may not yet be fully secure.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Rimal too, and more than one can share a single visit.
