The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Mawj is the southernmost subdivision in far south Jeddah, closest to the sea, and because there is ongoing construction and empty plots between the new homes, dust enters every window. The new chandelier looks clean when you move in, but fine dust and salt-laden sand settle on every crystal and arm. Cleaning here means care because the villa is brand new, the fixture is imported, and every piece is sensitive from the start.
Dust from empty plots and active building sites means new chandeliers need cleaning sooner than in fully built-out neighbourhoods; the buildup is noticeably faster. For the method itself, see what chandelier cleaning involves.
Al Mawj has ongoing building and empty plots between the villas. Winds carry dust and sand everywhere, and the new chandelier collects it rapidly on the crystals and fittings. Cleaning must be gentle because it is imported and may be sensitive from installation.
Villas in Al Mawj are new with current-standard wiring and recent installations, but documentation may not yet be complete and in hand. We inspect the electrical setup carefully and cut power safely before dismantling anything, because safety in a new home is paramount.
Homes in Al Mawj are recent builds with high ceilings and open spaces between fixture parts. This makes the work easier but demands proper access equipment and an organised team that moves efficiently and without error.
Al Mawj sits at the edge of Jeddah's southern development near the regional Al Lith highway, with vacant land, ongoing construction, and infrastructure still being completed around the homes.
The fixture in a new villa in Al Mawj is usually imported and brand new, so we inspect it very carefully for electrical safety and design before we touch anything.
The wiring is new but may not yet be fully documented, so we cut power at the main switch and let the fixture cool completely before we begin any work.
Photography before dismantling is essential because new villas need precise knowledge of how the crystals and wiring are arranged from the moment we start.
Each crystal and metal fitting is washed separately in soft water with mild soap, and coarse dust from the sites needs gentle soaking before any washing.
The frame, arms and joints are cleaned with very soft brushes, and the wide gaps in new fixtures need care to clear dust completely without scratching surfaces.
We reassemble the fixture piece by piece following the photographs, then power it on and walk through with full lighting to confirm everything is safe before we finish.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
A new development means the wiring is recent but documentation may not yet be complete, and active construction around the villa means more dust and the chandelier needs routine cleaning sooner than in established neighbourhoods.
We provide these in Al Mawj too, and more than one can share a single visit.
