We test before we degrease
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Shaana is a small residential quarter far from the coast near Asfan in east Jeddah. The air here is dry and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It drifts in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight. Kitchens accumulate dry dust mixed with cooking grease, not the damp salt-laden build-up of the coast. Cleaning here means sweeping out the dust first, then removing the grease it has adhered to.
The dust here is coarser than coastal dust and pale in colour, a mix of earth particles and gravel from the outer roads. It enters homes under doors and through window gaps, settles on kitchen surfaces before dawn, and does not need humidity to stick to cooking grease. For the method itself, see how we approach kitchen cleaning.
Shaana is far from coastal humidity and the dust is dry and sharp. Cooking grease attracts it and binds it tight. The film on cabinet fronts and hood is not soft grease but a heavy composite of grease and grit. Sweeping comes before degrease; the degrease alone will not lift what is stuck to dust.
Water comes from roof tanks and leaves a grey sediment film in basins and on taps. This old mineral deposit makes the surface rough and scratches easily. Scrubbing hard risks damaging older ceramic, so we clean it with care.
Most homes have ceramic tile floors. Fine gravel enters on shoes and settles in corners. If we mop without sweeping, the grit scratches the tiles. The final pass is thorough sweeping, then mopping with care.
A residential district within the Taibah sub-municipality area of east Jeddah near Asfan, one of a cluster of small neighbouring quarters with a simple residential character, close to Wadi Al Ghawla and the University of Jeddah road.
Cabinets here are usually old wood or laminate with years of dust-grease coating. Sweeping removes loose dust before degrease is applied, so the product works only on stuck grease.
Extractor hoods are often old and weak, and completely blocked by dust rather than fresh grease. Clearing dust is the first job; then cleaning the hood itself.
Ovens and hobs carry old baked-on food and carbon. The degrease must break old bonds, not fresh ones. Extra time and gentle scraping with soft tools is needed.
Tiles behind the hob may be old, cracked or loose, and covered in soot and scale. Gentle cleaning is essential; harsh scrubbing can dislodge tiles.
Sink and mixer are often old with mineral deposits. The deposits do not respond to grease degrease alone; they need a mineral-specific cleaner or careful mechanical removal.
Floors are ceramic tile in most homes here. Dust and grit settle in corners and joints and scratch tiles if mopped without sweeping first. The final pass is deep sweeping, then careful mopping.
Painted cabinets, laminate, natural stone and stainless steel do not take the same degreaser.
We start high, the tops of cabinets and the hood, and work down to the floor.
The degreaser is put on the heavy areas and given time to break the oil down before it is wiped.
The metal filter carries the worst of the grease and is soaked and worked on its own, not just wiped in place, because a clogged filter puts the oil straight back into the air.
The burners, the tiled splash and the grout lines take focused work, since the grout darkens first and a flat wipe passes over it.
We go over the kitchen with you before the team leaves.
Shaana sits beside Wadi Al Ghawla on one side and the University of Jeddah Road on the other, and most homes are within walking distance of one of these two landmarks. We identify your building by its distance from the wadi or the road.
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The degreasers and tools come with the team.
If what the kitchen needs is a repair or pest treatment rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Shaana too, and more than one can share a single visit.
