We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Shaana is a small residential district in east Jeddah, far from the sea. The air is dry and the dust is coarse and pale, coming in under doors and settling on every flat surface overnight. Sofas, mattresses and curtains become the heaviest part of the cleaning routine. A majlis here needs treatment that removes dust embedded deep in fabrics and trapped in grain.
Dust in Shaana is coarser and harsher than the fine dust of the coast, it enters under doors and windows and settles quickly on textiles. Furniture looks soiled faster, and carpets need repeated sweeping because the dust always returns. For the method itself, see our guide to majlis and diwaniya cleaning.
The dry air from open ground brings heavier, thicker dust than the Jeddah coast sees. The particles are larger and harder and scratch surfaces if swept wet. Carpets and curtains trap this dust much more deeply and need vigorous cleaning to release it fully.
Floors in older apartment blocks are often ordinary cement or older ceramic, and when desert dust is walked on the surface, it darkens. Fine grit scratches tiles if swept wet, and dust leaves dark sediment in corners and grout lines.
Water from the overhead tanks carries mineral deposits and leaves a grey film in sinks, shower trays and around taps. This residue is hard to shift and requires an acid cleaner designed for mineral scale.
A residential district in the Taibah sub-municipality area of east Jeddah near Asfan, one of a cluster of small quarters with simple residential character close to Wadi Al Ghawla and the University of Jeddah road. The land beyond these streets is open ground rising toward the Hijaz hills.
Ceilings and high corners trap dry dust that rises with warm air currents from the ground. We clean them with soft brushes and damp cloths to lift the dust without scattering it through the room.
Dusting surfaces and furniture starts with deep dry sweeping before any damp cleaning, because dry dust does not cling the way damp dust does and is easily scattered.
Glass and mirrors are cleaned with warm water and the right cleaner. Dry dust leaves no oily haze, so grains lift easily and leave the glass clear.
The floor is swept carefully first to remove grit, then mopped with warm water and cleaner to remove dust sediment from corners and grout lines.
The guest bathroom needs specialist cleaning to remove grey mineral sediment from roof tank water around taps and in the shower tray.
Airing the majlis by opening windows and doors for several hours after cleaning brings fresh outside air and dries any moisture left from cleaning.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.
Shaana sits at Wadi Al Ghawla which marks the district's edge, and the University of Jeddah Road passes close to the residential area. We know when heavy goods move on the Asfan Road and schedule our work to avoid bringing new dust in after cleaning is complete.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Shaana too, and more than one can share a single visit.
