We test before we degrease
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Widad is a small residential district in east Jeddah within the Taibah sub-municipality, mixing popular housing with compact modern villas on Asfan Road. The kitchens here are two different jobs: an older simple flat in a crowded block with basic surfaces, or a small new villa with an open-plan contemporary kitchen. The difference is not in the amount of grease, but in what surfaces can take and what the householder expects afterwards.
Residents here are working families, young couples and young professionals, with kitchens ranging from old flats with simple ceramic floors to small new villas with open-plan modern kitchens. For the method itself, see our guide to kitchen cleaning.
Popular housing clusters here mean cooking smell and grease drift from one flat to the next through shared pipes and common vents. Cleaning one kitchen may not solve the neighbour's problem if the piping is blocked or shared, and we cannot fix what lies behind the walls.
New villas here embrace the open-plan kitchen, so grease and smoke spread into the living room and sitting area within minutes. Cleaning is not just about the kitchen surfaces; it has to stop the air itself carrying the residue.
The basic porous ceramic that covers flat floors here is coarse, absorbs grease quickly and resists cleaning without aggressive scrubbing that would damage the glaze.

Cabinets in basic flats are often painted rather than veneered, so we clean gently from the top and avoid strong products that strip the paint.
The extractor hood in old flats is often weak or noisy, so we clean it but cannot boost its power. In new small villas, the hood is modern but opens into the sitting room.
Stovetop and oven in flats are simple, whilst new small villas sometimes have island kitchens requiring cleaning from all sides and more care around open edges.
Tiles behind the hob in flats are often cheap and porous, so we clean gently and let gel cleaner sit before wiping to avoid surface damage.
Sink and mixer tap are basic in both flats and small villas, but mineral scale returns quickly here because the water is hard.
Simple ceramic floors need gentle gel cleaner and a soft brush, not aggressive scrubbing, and the gel needs time to work before wet cleaning.
Painted cabinets, laminate, natural stone and stainless steel do not take the same degreaser.
We start high, the tops of cabinets and the hood, and work down to the floor.
The degreaser is put on the heavy areas and given time to break the oil down before it is wiped.
The metal filter carries the worst of the grease and is soaked and worked on its own, not just wiped in place, because a clogged filter puts the oil straight back into the air.
The burners, the tiled splash and the grout lines take focused work, since the grout darkens first and a flat wipe passes over it.
We go over the kitchen with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The degreasers and tools come with the team.
If what the kitchen needs is a repair or pest treatment rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
A mixed district means two types of kitchen in the same neighbourhood: old basic flats with cheap surfaces needing a gentle touch, and new small villas with open-plan kitchens needing focus on air control. We ask what type of building first before we pick the product.
We provide these in Al Widad too, and more than one can share a single visit.
