We test before we degrease
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Mahamid is unplanned low rise housing on the eastern edge of Jeddah beside the Old Makkah Road, with very old drainage, many unpaved streets, and crowded blocks where shops sit below flats. High humidity from ancient pipes and weak ventilation mean grease builds thick and black and mildew appears in every corner. Cleaning here is not routine.
Unpaved streets raise both dust and moisture in Al Mahamid together, so cooking grease traps dust, humidity and mildew in one thick layer instead of grease alone. For the method itself, see our kitchen cleaning service in detail.
Drainage is very old and probably blocked, sending moisture and smells up into the walls. Moisture enters the cavities and grows white and grey mildew. On the grease it becomes a three part compound: grease, moisture and mildew. After degreasing we must apply an antifungal treatment or it returns within days.
Streets are earth or broken old cement. Rain makes mud and sludge. Wet dust enters homes and shops and mixes with grease, becoming very thick. The grease turns dark brown black and heavy, years older looking than in modern districts.
Blocks are pressed against each other, flats are small and kitchens are sealed. Hoods are old or broken. Stale air lets grease harden fast. Black grease glues dust and mildew together into one rigid film that is far harder to cut than grease alone.
Old unorganised district in east Jeddah accessed from Harazat Road, with ancient drainage networks, unpaved streets, adjoining blocks with ground floor shops and flats above, within a municipal reorganisation programme.
Cabinet fronts in Al Mahamid are basic old ceramic or iron, the iron may have rust, so we use a soft brush and a product that cuts grease and rust together.
Hood and filter are very old and blocked, we disassemble every part, soak it, clean the ducting from inside carefully, and check for mildew in the ductwork.
Hob and oven are very old and thick with rust, brass heads may be broken, so we use a rust-dissolving product very carefully.
Tiles behind the hob are very old and grout lines are deep and clogged, so we use a small brush and plastic probe and soak the product for a long time.
Sink and tap are very old, may be black brass or rusty iron, so we use a rust remover and dry immediately.
The floor is very old brittle ceramic, stained with mud and dust, so we clean it very gently with a very soft brush, never scrub hard.
Painted cabinets, laminate, natural stone and stainless steel do not take the same degreaser.
We start high, the tops of cabinets and the hood, and work down to the floor.
The degreaser is put on the heavy areas and given time to break the oil down before it is wiped.
The metal filter carries the worst of the grease and is soaked and worked on its own, not just wiped in place, because a clogged filter puts the oil straight back into the air.
The burners, the tiled splash and the grout lines take focused work, since the grout darkens first and a flat wipe passes over it.
We go over the kitchen with you before the team leaves.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
Al Mahamid is an old mixed district with ancient drainage and unpaved streets, where grease, moisture and mildew are blended together. Cleaning needs a product that cuts all three at once, gentle treatment for old brittle surfaces, and an antifungal application after we finish to slow the mildew return.
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The degreasers and tools come with the team.
If what the kitchen needs is a repair or pest treatment rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Mahamid too, and more than one can share a single visit.
