We test before we degrease
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Baghdadiyah West is the seaward half of Baghdadiyah on the corniche and Arbaeen Lagoon, where older apartment buildings from mid-century sit on low flat ground near the water. Very high humidity and sea salt deposits on every surface daily, so grease mixes with salt and becomes very hard to remove. Kitchens are tight and ventilation is limited by the confined waterfront location between the corniche and buildings.
Sea salt deposits on windows and floors and metal surfaces far faster than in inland neighbourhoods, and constant humidity keeps grease tacky and prevents it from fully drying out. For the method itself, see the full kitchen cleaning page.
Sea air carries mineral salts that settle on every surface daily, and grease mixes with the salt on cabinets, tiles and stainless steel to form a stubborn white-grey crust of salt bound to oil, which is extremely hard to dissolve.
The sea is very close and humidity stays high all year, so grease you remove does not dry completely and returns fast. A degreaser alone is not enough because moisture prevents the surface from drying, so grease immediately re-sticks.
Buildings sit on low ground near the lagoon and corniche, so salt and dew settle from early morning. The smooth old floors trap salt and grease together, making both very hard to separate and remove.
The seaward part of Baghdadiyah between Madinah Road and Port Bridge Road on low ground close to Arbaeen Lagoon and Al Hamra Corniche, with older mid-century apartment buildings and very high sea humidity year-round.
Cabinet fronts collect salt and grease mixed together on the outer face. We use a product that dissolves salt and grease together and focus on cracks and seams where salt crystals trap the oil.
The filter turns white from salt mixed with black grease. We soak it in warm water with a salt and grease remover product together to break down both the mineral layer and the oil.
The hob and oven see sea salt and air rising directly from near the lagoon, so grease carries salt from the start. We leave the degreaser on much longer to fully dissolve the mixed salt-grease film.
Grout behind the hob traps salt crystals in the deep lines. We focus on the joints with a small brush and rinse with fresh water far more thoroughly to remove all salt residue trapped with the grease.
Sink and tap show rust from salt exposure quickly. After cleaning we apply a stainless steel protectant that creates a salt and moisture barrier to slow future corrosion and keep shine.
Smooth floor traps salt deposits. We dry it completely after the final rinse and leave a window open for at least one full hour to help air circulation completely dry the grout lines before re-dampening.
Painted cabinets, laminate, natural stone and stainless steel do not take the same degreaser.
We start high, the tops of cabinets and the hood, and work down to the floor.
The degreaser is put on the heavy areas and given time to break the oil down before it is wiped.
The metal filter carries the worst of the grease and is soaked and worked on its own, not just wiped in place, because a clogged filter puts the oil straight back into the air.
The burners, the tiled splash and the grout lines take focused work, since the grout darkens first and a flat wipe passes over it.
We go over the kitchen with you before the team leaves.
Coastal area: high humidity and salt air through the year
The coastal location means sea salt enters the kitchen daily and mixes with grease, so cleaning needs a product that dissolves salt and grease together, complete surface drying, and protective coating of surfaces after cleaning to resist salt return.
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The degreasers and tools come with the team.
If what the kitchen needs is a repair or pest treatment rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Kitchens on Al Hamra Corniche and near Arbaeen Lagoon between Madinah Road and Port Bridge Road need deep cleaning designed for daily sea salt deposits and high humidity. Work is organised around the low-lying waterfront location between the lagoon and buildings.
We provide these in Al Baghdadiyah West too, and more than one can share a single visit.
