We test before we degrease
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Sham is one of the four historic quarters inside the old walled city, with buildings pressed close and narrow lanes between them, and old pipework running through shared walls. Kitchens here are small and the gaps between neighbours are minimal, so your neighbour's cooking grease reaches your flat. Terrazzo floors are worn smooth, so grease slides rather than dries, pooling in the lowest corners of the kitchen.
Homes here are attached directly to each other, and old pipework runs shared through the walls, so kitchen grease from one flat travels to the next through the building structure itself. For the method itself, see how we approach kitchen cleaning.
Homes here are physically joined, and their pipes run close together in shared walls. Grease from a neighbour's kitchen travels through air and old ducting and reaches your kitchen mixed with your own cooking odours. Cleaning your kitchen alone does not solve the problem because the source lies outside your walls.
Terrazzo worn smooth from decades of use lets grease slide rather than dry. Hard scrubbing can leave marks or crack an old edge. The tiny kitchens concentrate grease on the floor, so it looks black.
Old small kitchens have awkward angles, and every corner collects grease and dust from the street and from the neighbours. Corners between old pipes and walls are hard to reach, and grease sticks in those gaps for years.
A historic quarter in the northern part of Al Balad, with heritage stone and timber buildings, mixing housing and trade in a dense urban fabric with few gaps between structures.
Cabinet fronts may have weak or peeling paint from age, so wiping needs gentle product and caution against hard rubbing.
The extractor hood in a small old kitchen works less efficiently and collects grease faster, so the filter may need replacing or the hood itself may need repair.
Oven and hob are very old and grease may have stuck for decades, so product needs long contact time and may require more than one visit.
Tiles behind the hob are old and brittle with possible cracks or gaps, so cleaning needs care not to push product into weak spots.
The sink and mixer are old brass or galvanised iron, possibly oxidised inside, so exterior cleaning removes scale but internal rust in the pipes remains.
The worn smooth terrazzo floor needs special care, and corners between old pipes and walls are hard to reach but hold decades of accumulated grease.
Painted cabinets, laminate, natural stone and stainless steel do not take the same degreaser.
We start high, the tops of cabinets and the hood, and work down to the floor.
The degreaser is put on the heavy areas and given time to break the oil down before it is wiped.
The metal filter carries the worst of the grease and is soaked and worked on its own, not just wiped in place, because a clogged filter puts the oil straight back into the air.
The burners, the tiled splash and the grout lines take focused work, since the grout darkens first and a flat wipe passes over it.
We go over the kitchen with you before the team leaves.
Historic district: close-set buildings, narrow lanes and ageing services
An old cramped kitchen concentrates grease and moisture in a very small space. Old pipes shared through the walls carry cooking grease from neighbouring homes. Cleaning needs patience and care because the furniture and floors are fragile with age.
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The degreasers and tools come with the team.
If what the kitchen needs is a repair or pest treatment rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Al Sham too, and more than one can share a single visit.
