We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Al Tawfeeq lies east of Jeddah near the mountains and open ground, the air is drier and the dust coarser and paler than on the coast. Sofas, mattresses and curtains become heavy with dust before dawn, and ceilings and corners get dirty again quickly even if cleaned the week before, so the majlis needs deeper cleaning before gatherings.
Furniture, sofas, mattresses and curtains become heavy and thick with coarse dust, and carpets trap dust more than districts on the coast. For the method itself, see the full majlis and diwaniya cleaning page.
In east Jeddah the air is dry and the dust coarser, it creeps under doors and windows and settles deep in curtains and sofas. The dust here is not soft like coastal dust, it is sharp and heavy, so furniture loses colour and feel quickly. Specialist cleaning removes dust from deep inside, not a quick wipe across the surface.
The dust here carries small stones and grit. If we mop the floor without sweeping first the ceramic and marble will scratch. Carpets trap the grit, so we sweep them hard first, then wash them with a method that removes every particle from inside the weave.
Though the air is dry, moisture collects in lower corners, bathrooms and old pipes. Dry dust and trapped moisture together make a grey layer on surfaces, walls and basins. We treat the moisture first before dry cleaning.
The district sits near hills and open land with dry air, and fine dust slips under doors and settles on every flat surface before morning.
Ceilings and high corners collect coarse dust very fast, and need cleaning from top to bottom so dust does not fall onto newly cleaned furniture.
Beating dust from fabrics and sofas needs a strong brush and specialist dry vacuuming, then long ventilation.
Glass and mirrors carry a thin layer of dry dust, we wipe them with dry cloth first, then a light cleaning solution.
Ceramic floors we sweep hard first to remove all grit, then mop with completely dry cloth and no excess water.
The guest bathroom holds more moisture and mould than the rest of the majlis, we treat it with specialist solution then strong ventilation.
Ventilation after cleaning is essential, all windows open for hours until dust and stale air leave completely.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
Mixed districts in the east need deep dust removal before any ventilation, because coarse dry dust embeds in the fibres fast. We focus on hard sweeping and dry vacuuming before any other treatment.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Tawfeeq too, and more than one can share a single visit.
