We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Al Ghawla is a small mixed district near Wadi Al Ghawla on the Al Jumum boundary, with new homes and light traffic but moisture and dust from the natural wadi that differ from desert dust. The new apartments and villas trap this wadi moisture in their fabrics, and the majlis needs special treatment before guests arrive.
These majlis rooms sit under the natural influence of the wadi. Moisture and damp sand from the wadi enter fabrics differently than in districts away from natural water courses. They need different care. For the method itself, see how we approach majlis and diwaniya cleaning.
The wadi that gives the district its name is not dry. It carries moisture especially after rain but also when it appears dry: the air around the district is saturated with wadi moisture. The majlis absorbs this moisture into fabric and carpet. A faint smell of dampness or mildew may appear if the room is not first cleaned with strong dry suction, then fully ventilated.
The district is small and building is incomplete. Bare plots around it send very fine dust formed by natural moisture, different from dry sand. This dust enters the majlis through the smallest gaps and settles deep in the fabrics. Cleaning demands strong suction and special care for delicate materials.
The guest bathroom attached to the majlis sits close to open natural ground and holds more moisture than bathrooms in central districts. Damp patches may appear on surfaces or a faint mould smell may form. Cleaning requires strong ventilation first, then deep treatment with moisture-control solutions, not just surface cleaning.

High ceilings and corners in Al Ghawla collect moisture from the natural air. They are cleaned with strong dry suction first, then with a cloth that is barely damp.
Surfaces and furniture are new but exposed to wadi moisture. They are dusted with a dry cloth first, then with very little dampness and dried straight away.
Glass and mirrors may hold a moisture film or thin greasy layer from the natural dampness. They are cleaned with specialist solution and soft cloth, then dried immediately.
The floor is usually ceramic and absorbs moisture easily. It is dry-suctioned hard first, then wiped with minimal dampness and dried with soft cloth.
The guest bathroom is naturally damp from the surrounding moisture. It is treated with strong ventilation first, then deep cleaning with dry solution and anti-mould treatments.
Ventilation after cleaning is crucial and needs longer than in dry districts. Windows may stay open for a full hour or more before guests arrive.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
Mixed district here means shops and homes together, but the natural wadi moisture is the main challenge. Cleaning is not just dust or dirt removal: it is managing deep moisture that enters fabrics, floors and bathrooms from the natural surroundings.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Majlis rooms in Al Ghawla spread near Wadi Al Ghawla and the two main roads: Asfan Road and University of Jeddah Road. The team reaches them by these roads, and may need local knowledge of plot distribution near the wadi to find the exact majlis location.
We provide these in Al Ghawla too, and more than one can share a single visit.
