We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Prince Fawaz North is a densely built residential extension in south Jeddah close to the expressways and heavy traffic routes. The dust here is darker and oilier than anywhere in north Jeddah, a mix of diesel soot from trucks and fine grit from workshops and manufacturing sites. Curtains in the upper flats and villas here trap this soot deep in the weave, and coastal humidity makes it stick harder and develop mildew smell underneath.
Curtains here are several shades darker and heavier to the touch than those in districts far from expressways and the sea. For the method itself, see our curtain cleaning service in detail.
Trucks and generators around the district release constant diesel soot that settles on every curtain within reach. Soot does not rinse away with water, it needs specialised chemical treatment to break down the fine particles that have bonded to the cloth. Delay in cleaning lets soot build up in layers, making removal progressively harder and more aggressive.
Near the sea, moisture penetrates the soot layer and makes it stick harder and develop musty mould smell below. Damp curtains dried slowly in high humidity can develop mildew even if they look clean, because the moisture trapped under the soot creates conditions mould loves. Strong drying is essential after cleaning.
Soot and humidity mix, and every air movement spreads the smell. Curtains here are responsible not just for holding dust but for trapping persistent musty and chemical odours.
The district sits in south Jeddah between the sea and the heavy traffic roads, with Muhammad ibn Sahmi Street marking its northern edge and Al Othaim Markets serving the neighbourhood. The location between coast and truck routes exposes it to a combination of salt humidity and industrial soot.
Sheer fabrics need gentler treatment than heavy ones, and old soot may need more than one wash cycle to remove completely.
Careful removal is important because soot can rust fixtures and weaken hardware, so old metal fittings may snap under normal stress.
Very strong dry vacuum and shake-out here, because removing as much soot as possible before water contact makes the chemical wash far more effective.
Black marks and darkened edges need specialised treatment with solutions designed for hydrocarbon residues.
Cleaning method is aggressive here because the soot is heavy and time is longer than in other neighbourhoods, necessarily so.
Drying demands very strong ventilation and gentle heat to remove soot residue, moisture and mildew smell together.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
Prince Fawaz North sits about 1 km from Kilo 14 and about 1 km from Prince Fawaz South.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Prince Fawaz North too, and more than one can share a single visit.
