We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Shifa in south Jeddah beside the Makkah Jeddah Expressway is growing fast, with affordable apartments, new villas and investment buildings filling the district. New residents open windows onto warm air and road traffic. Curtains trap dust from the expressway, cooking oils from open kitchens, and humidity from the warm southern air. Deep cleaning reaches what has built up in the weave folds over months of exposure.
New residents in the district often do not yet realize that curtains need deep cleaning regularly, and expressway dust accumulates gradually and quietly in the weave. For the method itself, see our curtain cleaning service in detail.
The Makkah Jeddah Expressway beside the district sends ultra fine dust particles that penetrate open curtains. This grit compresses into the weave and dulls the colour to grey. Vacuuming alone cannot lift it. Cleaning needs gentle soaking and soft fibre movement to release particles trapped deep in the weave.
Closely packed apartments and villas with open kitchens mean cooking vapour travels fast between units and settles in curtains. Odour persists even after visible stains fade. Effective cleaning removes both oil residue and trapped moisture that holds the smell.
Warm air and high humidity in south Jeddah create conditions where surface mould or mildew can start. Small brown or black spots may appear if curtains stay damp too long. Cleaning must include antifungal treatment and quick, complete drying.
A new residential district in south Jeddah beside a busy expressway. Recently built villas and apartments need curtains cleaned of the fine dust that comes constantly from expressway traffic and the warm southern breeze.
Inspection reveals ultra fine expressway dust embedded in the weave and oil build up on the surface; faded colour and trapped odour signal curtains have not been cleaned for a long time.
Removing curtains from tracks needs care because compressed dust may fall onto the floor and spread; apartment curtains stacked closely together may be heavier than villas with larger windows.
Dry vacuum takes time in heavily dust packed areas, and multiple passes from both sides ensure metal and oil particles bonded to expressway grit are fully removed.
Oil spots from cooking and brown spots from humidity are treated with different products before general cleaning: oils with solvent, mould with antifungal treatment to prevent smudging.
Rinsing must be gentle because dust bound in the weave will cloud the water; clean water is used repeatedly until the final rinse water runs clear and dust free.
Fast and complete drying prevents water marks and odour return, with curtains hung in well ventilated space to air completely before returning to the window.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Shifa too, and more than one can share a single visit.
