We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Zuhour is a new subdivision of Obhur Al Shamaliyah in north Jeddah, part of the newly opened urban tract where land and housing are still being released and built. New villas here have wide windows and irrigated gardens, marble or porcelain floors, and modern curtains that come with factory treatments. Fine sand and irrigation scale enter easily, and ongoing construction nearby kicks up dust, but the newest curtains trap fine overnight sand more than anything else. The problem is temporary, tied to the building phase, and will ease as development completes.
New curtains here catch fine overnight sand faster than black street dust, and ongoing construction raises dust temporarily rather than as a permanent problem. For the method itself, see how we approach curtain cleaning.
New villas are surrounded by open plots and irrigated gardens, so fine sand from spray irrigation and wind enters easily under doors and around windows. Fine sand is light and air-carried, settling into curtain folds quickly, but it does not stick as hard or as deeply as diesel soot does in industrial areas.
The district is being actively built, and construction around new villas kicks up dust and sand. This is temporary, and once the current building phase nearby ends, dust levels will fall. New curtains may need cleaning every six months now, but the need will reduce over time as the district matures.
Curtains in new modern villas may be treated against wrinkles or stains at the mill. Strong chemicals can strip these protections, so we use gentle methods that preserve the original treatment while still cleaning what needs cleaning.
The district is part of the new urban development in Obhur Al Shamaliyah, served by main roads linking it to the Jeddah Madinah Road and King Abdulaziz Road, with land and housing still being released and built.
Modern fabrics may carry mill treatments against wrinkles or stains, so we test first and avoid strong solutions that might damage the protection.
Careful handling during removal matters because new fixtures may be sensitive or installations may still be in progress.
Dry vacuum and gentle shake-out are often enough, because fine sand comes out easily without needing full washing.
Light marks need gentle treatment to preserve the original factory finish that protects the fabric.
Cleaning method is gentler here because the fabrics are new and contaminants are light, so we choose balanced, mild solutions.
Drying is fast because the air is dry and wind assists, so we hang in an open space and finish sooner than in humid areas.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
New development means new curtains and construction may raise dust, but cleaning need will reduce with time as building finishes. Factory treatments demand respect and solutions are gentler than in other districts because the fabrics are not yet aged or heavily soiled.
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
North Jeddah is largely newer villa districts and compounds around Obhur and inland from it. Homes here tend to have marble or porcelain floors, large windows and a garden or courtyard, so the routine is set by what comes in from outside: fine sand carried on sandals, and sprinkler spray that dries to a chalky ring on tiles. Near the creek and the coast, sea air leaves a faint salt film on glass and on outdoor cushions, which stiffens fabric. Curtains and upholstery in these open plan rooms catch the dust that settles overnight.
We provide these in Al Zuhour too, and more than one can share a single visit.
