We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Tawfeeq is a small residential district east of Jeddah with a simple unpretentious character, mixing older popular housing with newer suburban subdivisions. Curtains here are straightforward: cotton and polyester mostly, but the dry eastern dust and heat work into them faster than coastal salt does. Older homes hold trapped moisture that creates damp smells and weight in the fabric.
Al Tawfeeq holds family homes, not shops or hotels. Older homes have plain cement or darkening ceramic floors where grit is walked in, and curtains show cooking grease buildup. Newer homes have marble but grit travels faster there too. For the method itself, see our curtain cleaning service in detail.
East Jeddah is closer to mountains and open ground, so dust here is not damp like the coast. It is sharp and pale and rough-textured. Thin curtains do not keep it out. It passes through and lands on furniture. Strong vacuum and dry brush are needed before any water touches the fabric.
Many homes in Al Tawfeeq are older. Pipes may leave rust stains and heavy water marks. Roof tanks leave grey sediment on tiles and basins. Curtains near windows absorb humidity from the damp trapped air in older houses.
Drying after cleaning is rapid here. Fabrics may dry too fast and lose their flexibility. We do not leave curtains under direct sun; we use shade and natural air for even drying.
A small eastern residential district close to the University of Jeddah road and stadium. Simple in character, mixing villas, apartments and popular housing. Air here is drier than on the coast, and dust is coarser and lighter in colour.
Curtains in Al Tawfeeq are usually practical: cotton, polyester and blends. We inspect the weave first because older fabrics are weakened by years of use and dry heat.
Removal can be difficult if rings are rusted from trapped moisture. Old metalwork may be brittle.
Dry vacuum is vigorous on Al Tawfeeq curtains because coarse dust sits deep. We use strong suction and brush to remove maximum dust before water.
Stains are usually trapped cooking grease and dry dust bonded together. They need soak in warm soapy water before agitation. Weak fabrics may not tolerate hard scrubbing.
Washing is moderate strength for average fabrics, stronger for heavy ones, gentle for weak or thin ones. We rinse under flowing warm water.
Drying is always in shade and still air. Direct sun can set colours and create uneven drying patterns. We leave them until completely dry before rehang.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
The truly mixed character here means one street may hold an old foundation-weak home next to a new strong villa. Old curtains may need gentler handling than new ones. We cannot rely on the house exterior; we must inspect the curtains themselves.
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Tawfeeq too, and more than one can share a single visit.
