We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Safhah is a small, simple district east of Jeddah between the university stadium and Asfan Road, most housing is mid-rise apartment blocks. Dust here is coarser and paler than on the coast, the air is drier, but the open land and ongoing building around the quarter mean dust is rising. Curtains carry the weight of daily dry dust more than the dampness of other areas.
Floors here are old or new ceramic tile, and how fast fine pale dust settles on windows and curtains shows the ambient dust load, which rises with each construction project nearby. For the method itself, see our guide to curtain cleaning.
Dust in east Jeddah is fine and light, entering under doors and windows and settling into curtain pleats deep. An ordinary shake only lifts what sits on top, and the dust inside stays and darkens the weave.
Dry air makes dust lighter and easier to travel, so it settles thickly on every flat surface before dawn. A single curtain may collect more dust weight here than a curtain in a damp coastal area.
Open plots and active construction around Al Safhah are extra dust sources. Curtains here dirty faster than those in fully built neighbourhoods with no building activity.
An eastern zone near Jeddah University stadium and main roads, with dry open air, fine pale dust blowing in from open ground and hills beyond the residential edge.
In Al Safhah, fine pale dust demands careful inspection to tell surface dirt from what is settled deep, and curtains look clean from outside while loaded inside.
Taking them down is essential here because dust that has settled deep in the pleats of a hanging curtain will not shake loose quickly and needs flat treatment.
Dry vacuum and shake first removes surface dust, but most of the weight inside the weave stays unless a short soak comes before washing.
Grey stains from water sediment need separate treatment using products that dissolve light mineral deposits.
Cold or cool water is enough in Al Safhah because the dust is not oily, and cool water speeds fast drying afterward.
Fast drying with good ventilation is critical here because dust can resettle on damp fabric fast in the dry air.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Safhah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
