We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Ruwais is an old district between Al Hamra, Al Sharafiyah and West Baghdadiyah, where older buildings stand alongside newer ones. The main roads carry heavy commercial traffic, and Madinah Road to the east is used by trucks all day. Floors are mostly old terrazzo or ceramic tile worn smooth and easily stained by grease that drifts from the street.
Curtains carry fine black dust from main road traffic, and accumulation from years may be so heavy that old fabrics sag under the weight. For the method itself, see our guide to curtain cleaning.
Madinah Road and Hail Street see continuous flow of heavy vehicles and trucks, all releasing minute metal particles and soot and brake dust. This black fine dust settles on every fabric near the road faster than in quiet zones. The colour darkens noticeably and the weight builds: a curtain that was cream becomes grey and then dusky over time.
Floors of worn terrazzo or old ceramic tile are smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that rises from the street. Older pipework leaves rust marks in basins, and old plumbing allows moisture to seep higher into the walls and air. Curtains in these spaces absorb the moisture and the stale smells that old buildings hold.
Some units have been recently renovated and others have not changed in decades, so curtains vary from robust to weakened by age. Assessing each fabric separately is essential because history and condition differ between one flat and the next in the same older building.
Al Ruwais sits near the Corniche and two main arterial roads, with older buildings and dense commercial activity on Hail Street and around it. The nearby hospital and shopping mall increase vehicle traffic significantly.
Fabric is often old, natural cotton or a blend, weakened by decades of dust, moisture and poor ventilation.
Removal from older buildings needs care because fittings and wires may be corroded by moisture or simply loose from age.
Dry vacuum may need gentle suction because old fabric can tear if pressure is too strong or too prolonged.
Black marks may be decades of accumulation and need long soaking and sometimes repeated treatment.
Washing in warm but not hot water to avoid damaging old fabric, using strong soap suited to cutting heavy grease.
Drying needs good air flow, and old curtains may need slow drying to avoid cracking or weakness becoming visible.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
Al Ruwais sits about 1.5 km from Al Sharafiyah and about 2 km from Al Baghdadiyah West.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Al Ruwais too, and more than one can share a single visit.
