We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Al Ruwais is an old district in central Jeddah near the Corniche, where ageing blocks stand beside newer buildings and shops sit directly below flats. Floors are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street below. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains. Pipework leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains trap fine black dust from the main roads. A majlis here needs treatment that addresses grease, scale, rust and dust all together.
Smooth terrazzo floors absorb cooking grease from the shops and the black dust from the main roads clings to carpets more than in newer districts. Rust from old pipes leaves orange stains in sinks and cannot be scrubbed away with ordinary cleaners. For the method itself, see our guide to majlis and diwaniya cleaning.
Terrazzo floors from decades past are very smooth and absorb cooking grease that rises from food shops on the street. This grease does not dry easily or wipe away; it leaves an oily sheen that needs strong washing to remove.
Old kitchens and bathrooms carry thick scale deposits on taps and around drains. This buildup accumulated over decades and plain water cannot touch it; it needs an acid cleaner to dissolve.
Old pipework leaves orange rust stains in basins and shower trays. These marks are difficult to remove and require specialist treatment with a mild acid to lift without damaging the surfaces underneath.
An old district west of Madinah Road near the Corniche where ageing apartment blocks stand beside newer buildings. It borders Al Hamra, Al Sharafiyah and West Baghdadiyah, with Hail Street as its liveliest thoroughfare. Close to the sea and to heavy traffic roads, the district carries both maritime air and vehicle emissions.
Ceilings and high corners trap black dust from the main roads. We clean them with soft brushes and damp cloths to lift the dust without scattering it.
Dusting surfaces and furniture removes black dust before any washing. We use slightly damp cloths to capture the particles rather than spread them.
Glass and mirrors carry a faint oily haze from road emissions. We clean them with a specialist solution to remove the film without streaking.
The floor of terrazzo is washed with a strong degreaser to remove embedded grease. Soft brushes help without scratching the surface.
The guest bathroom needs specialist cleaning for mineral scale and rust. Taps and fittings are polished after washing to restore their shine.
Airing the majlis by opening windows and doors for several hours after cleaning brings in fresh outside air and dries any moisture left from cleaning.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.
Al Ruwais sits about 1.5 km from Al Sharafiyah and about 2 km from Al Baghdadiyah West.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Al Ruwais too, and more than one can share a single visit.
