The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Bashaer is a new district in east Jeddah on the Asfan Ring Road, with new villas and apartment buildings alongside subdivisions still under construction. The district is developing and sand and dust from vacant plots and unpaved roads enter easily. New chandeliers are hung before nearby building finishes, and need cleaning before the family arrives and may need another after construction ends.
Sand and dust from vacant plots and active building enter easily, and new chandeliers collect construction dust and sediment layers from the dry sky. For the method itself, see how we approach chandelier cleaning.
Al Bashaer is new and some roads are not yet paved, and vacant plots around new villas and buildings raise sand. This sand is coarser than the fine sand of northern districts, and enters easily under doors to settle on every high surface.
Active construction raises very fine dust from concrete and digging. Chalky deposits from this dust accumulate on crystal and dull it. Mixed with coarse sand the layer becomes stubborn and hard to remove.
East Jeddah is very dry and strong winds lift dust from open ground and roads. Hanging chandeliers get double the dust of sheltered districts. Villas on the ring road collect more than those on internal streets.
A new district in north Jeddah on the Asfan ring road, with Al Furusiyah Road on its east, Taybah to the west, Al Falah to the south and Al Rahmaniyah to the south east, with new villas and apartment buildings, rest houses and subdivisions under construction.
Inspection focuses on coarse sand, fine construction dust and chalky deposits, not ordinary dust alone.
Power must be cut and moisture from irrigation must be checked before power restoration.
Photography before dismantling is vital because the chandelier is new and original instructions may not be available.
Each piece must be washed separately using specialist soaking for construction sand and chalk deposits.
Frame and arms may hold coarse sand and fine dust that needs very soft brushing to clear.
Drying must be fast in clean air, and reassembly done away from dust and wind if possible.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
Al Bashaer is located on the Asfan Ring Road with Al Furusiyah Road to the east, and the mosque, park and local centres help identify villa locations. Access is from the ring road or Al Furusiyah Road depending on building position and active construction nearby.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Bashaer too, and more than one can share a single visit.
