The gear reaches the scale
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.

Al Sham is one of the four historic quarters inside Jeddah's old walled city, with stone and timber houses over a century old and simple heritage bathrooms. The taps and pipes are original, terrazzo floors are worn smooth, and the plumbing runs tight. Hard water finds safe passage in these narrow lines and leaves thick deposits that a daily wipe cannot touch.
Heritage houses here are not renovated; the bathroom itself may date from the nineteen-fifties with all fixtures unchanged. For the method itself, see our bathroom cleaning service in detail.
Copper and iron pipes from the early twentieth century have always been tight, and scale has built thick layers inside them over decades. Water now runs slowly and limescale has compacted where ordinary washing will not reach it. Soaking takes time and must be gentle to avoid blocking the lines completely.
The smooth worn terrazzo is treacherous when wet and scratches quickly under strong pressure. Hard rubbing exposes white stone beneath and marks the surface permanently. Deep cleaning here needs a gentle hand and soft tools to keep the floor safe.
The iron pipes have corroded slowly over the decades and now bleed thin rust lines into the basin and bath, accumulating into red and black streaks. Removing the stain from the surfaces is possible, but the source in the pipes will not stop weeping.
The quarter's buildings stand close together on narrow lanes with old services running beneath them. Any deep clean must account for original structures and the age of what lies underground.
The smooth terrazzo floors must be tested first because hard scrubbing may scratch them and leave white marks where the aggregate is exposed.
Limescale on old brass taps should soak for a long time, carefully, because hard scrubbing can fracture the thin metal.
Grout is black from both the damp building and accumulated dust. We work each line individually and carefully by hand.
Glass and old mirrors may be cracked or weakened. We clean them with care and do not attempt to replace them.
Basin, toilet and bath all carry orange rust from the original iron pipework. We remove it with gentle soaking, not hard scrubbing.
Drainage and ventilation in the old building are weak. We clean the drain deeply, but the constant dampness will persist.
We open the room, take everything off the ledges and shelves, and lift loose hair from the drains before any water or chemical goes down.
Scale on glass, taps and the shower head is not scrubbed off cold.
The joints are treated and scrubbed along the line, top to bottom, because film sits in the porous grout and a flat wipe never enters it.
The bowl, the base joint and the floor trap are done as one stage, since this is where odour lives.
What the products loosened is lifted off, and everything is rinsed downward so nothing dirty settles back onto a cleaned surface.
The damp low corners are dried so nothing feeds mould again, then we walk the room with you.
Historic district: close-set buildings, narrow lanes and ageing services
A heritage house means everything in it is original and delicate. The terrazzo, the taps, the pipes cannot take hard scrubbing or harsh chemicals, so deep cleaning here demands skill, care and caution, not force.
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.
We send a team, not a single person.
Where scale has already etched the glass or mould has stained the grout for good, we tell you at the inspection.
Nothing is called done until you have walked the room and said so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Al Sham too, and more than one can share a single visit.
