The gear reaches the scale
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.

Al Bahr is one of the four historic quarters inside the old walled city of Jeddah, with stone and timber heritage buildings and pipework that has served the district for over a century. Bathrooms here are old, floors are worn smooth terrazzo or aged ceramic tile, and ancient iron mains pipes leave rust stains in basins and baths.
Old bathrooms here carry years of limescale buildup on taps and rust marks from the shared public iron pipework running beneath the streets. For the method itself, see how we approach bathroom cleaning.
Tap heads and fixtures carry thick mineral deposits layered over years, and drain surrounds are rimmed with white and pink scale. Removing this accumulated scale takes patience and focus because the buildup is deep and compacted.
The old public pipework leaves rust and brown staining in basins and baths. Rust merges with limescale into a compound discoloration that is harder to shift than limescale or rust alone.
Deep old pipes trap stagnant water and bacterial colonies, creating strong odour that returns quickly. Weak drainage keeps water sitting in the pipes longer than it should.
Al Bahr is a quarter in the north western part of the old walled city near the old port, established in the early thirteenth century Hijri with heritage stone and timber houses and shared public plumbing.
Old tile and terrazzo are worn smooth and sensitive to strong products, so we test the surface first and choose a safe product for aged finishes.
Old taps and fittings carry thick old limescale, so we apply descaler and allow long working time, then remove with great care to avoid scratching the metal.
Grout lines between tiles are black from mould, rust and dust combined, so we work each joint individually with patience and depth.
Old glass and mirrors are clouded by rust stains and marks, so we remove all marks carefully from every angle.
Toilet, basin and bath have scale and rust on rims and interiors, so we clean each fixture individually and as a coordinated whole.
Old drain and ventilation are tight and aged with odour, so we open the drain and clean it free of bacterial and ancient sediment buildup.
We open the room, take everything off the ledges and shelves, and lift loose hair from the drains before any water or chemical goes down.
Scale on glass, taps and the shower head is not scrubbed off cold.
The joints are treated and scrubbed along the line, top to bottom, because film sits in the porous grout and a flat wipe never enters it.
The bowl, the base joint and the floor trap are done as one stage, since this is where odour lives.
What the products loosened is lifted off, and everything is rinsed downward so nothing dirty settles back onto a cleaned surface.
The damp low corners are dried so nothing feeds mould again, then we walk the room with you.
Historic district: close-set buildings, narrow lanes and ageing services
Historic means public iron pipes running deep beneath heritage buildings, with long-accumulated scale, rust and odour. Rust, scale and smell are not just the house's problem but the district's ageing infrastructure. Cleaning here takes patience and care on surfaces that carry the city's history.
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.
We send a team, not a single person.
Where scale has already etched the glass or mould has stained the grout for good, we tell you at the inspection.
Nothing is called done until you have walked the room and said so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Al Bahr too, and more than one can share a single visit.
