The right gear for drinking water
Pumps to clear sludge, scrubbing to remove biofilm, and disinfectant meant for potable storage.

Al Shuwaidi is a new development in Obhur Al Shamaliyah in north Jeddah, with newly released residential land plots and villas under construction, served by main roads connecting to the Jeddah Madinah Road. Tanks here are new but the ground beneath them is damp from the nearby sea and ongoing construction, and water arrives with a new supply pressure that may leave marks on the walls.
The ground in Al Shuwaidi is damp from the sea nearby, and construction is ongoing across wide areas around each small cluster of new villas. For the method itself, see our guide to water tank cleaning.
A brand new villa may have its tank in a narrow courtyard behind the boundary wall. We enter carefully from inside, treading lightly on young plants and new flagstones.
The location is very close to the sea and excavation is ongoing. The tank collects sea salt and construction dust together, a stubborn mixture that needs heavy scrubbing.
The district lies within well known area near Abhor Park and the Jeddah Madinah Road, so we reach any villa easily and find streets without delay.

Tank inspection in a tight sunny courtyard: we check the lid and foundation from outside first, confirming the tank is stable on damp ground.
The first water from a new tank carries sediment and salt; we drain it completely and never leave a small amount that might contaminate fresh water.
Sediment here is a mix of sea salt and sticky construction dust; we pump multiple times and do not stop until any remaining water runs clear.
Walls carry a layer of salt thickness from coastal damp; we scrub with warm water and weak food safe acid, then rinse thoroughly.
Disinfection is essential in a damp area close to the sea; we allow the chemical at least an hour and a half to work.
The lid may be open to air or poorly sealed from heat and salt; we inspect, clean salt residue and recommend improvements.
The supply into the tank is shut and the tank is drained completely.
The sludge on the floor is scooped and pumped out first.
The biofilm on the walls is physically scrubbed off.
With the walls and floor clean, a disinfectant made for drinking-water storage is applied and given time to act on every surface.
The disinfectant and any loosened residue are rinsed down and pumped out, so the first tank of water after us is not carrying it.
We check the cover seal and inlet before refilling, so dust and insects stay out, then start the refill while you watch it run clear.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
New development means new tanks in tight courtyards still under construction, and coastal damp plus salt enter every gap. We focus on cleaning the lid and inlet filter and handling young plants and new flooring carefully.

We send a team, not one person, so a tank is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled in a single visit rather than left open for days.
We look at the lid seal and inlet, because a tank that got dirty fast usually has a way in.
Nothing is closed until the tank is refilling and you have seen the water run clean.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the tank is disinfected, refilling, and you have seen it for yourself.
Al Shuwaidi sits very close to Abhor Park and Jeddah Madinah Road, so homes lie within the new extension near these well known locations. We reach any villa easily via King Abdulaziz Road or Jeddah Madinah Road.
We provide these in Al Shuwaidi too, and more than one can share a single visit.
