The right gear for drinking water
Pumps to clear sludge, scrubbing to remove biofilm, and disinfectant meant for potable storage.

Al Lulu is a small coastal strip facing the Red Sea directly, with beach resorts, villas and new apartments. Tanks here meet constant humidity and salt air year round. Water may taste salty again within weeks of cleaning because salt enters through small gaps, and algae grows even in winter due to the humidity.
Tanks in Al Lulu need inspection every two months because salt changes water colour fast and green algae appears on the walls constantly. For the method itself, see the full water tank cleaning page.
Salt air from the sea spares no area, and sea spray reaches the rooftop with every breeze. Salt penetrates small openings in the lid and pipes, so water tastes salty and white salt deposits mark the walls.
In most Jeddah areas algae sleeps in cool winter months, but Al Lulu's humidity stays high year round. Green and brown algae grow even in January and February, unlike inland quarters where cold stops growth.
Salt dramatically speeds corrosion of copper and iron, so internal pipes change colour quickly and shed green particles into the water. Oxidation happens months faster here than inland.
Al Lulu faces the sea directly, and salt-laden air and high humidity are present year round. There is no dry season like inland quarters experience.
The tank in Al Lulu carries a white salt film on the walls, not ordinary sediment. Salt leaves a pale white trace on the floor and in corners.
Draining is careful because salt makes water slightly heavier, and pipes may be partially blocked by salt deposits and algae combined.
Sediment is a salty oily film with green and brown algae clinging tightly to every surface inside the tank.
Walls and floor are scrubbed hard by hand because salt and algae stick fiercely. Corners and joins need close attention because salt accumulates in the tight places.
Disinfection takes much longer here because salt-loving algae are strong, and chemicals must dwell in the tank for extended time to penetrate the algal film and kill all microbes.
Final inspection confirms salt taste and smell are gone, water is pure and fresh, algae has vanished, and the lid seals tightly so salt cannot re-enter from the sea air.
The supply into the tank is shut and the tank is drained completely.
The sludge on the floor is scooped and pumped out first.
The biofilm on the walls is physically scrubbed off.
With the walls and floor clean, a disinfectant made for drinking-water storage is applied and given time to act on every surface.
The disinfectant and any loosened residue are rinsed down and pumped out, so the first tank of water after us is not carrying it.
We check the cover seal and inlet before refilling, so dust and insects stay out, then start the refill while you watch it run clear.
We reach the tank via Obhur Road, which defines the zone location. Villas near Al Lulu Park or close to the Al Suyuti Mosque help us pinpoint the exact building. Distances between villas are short so house addresses are easy to locate.

We send a team, not one person, so a tank is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled in a single visit rather than left open for days.
We look at the lid seal and inlet, because a tank that got dirty fast usually has a way in.
Nothing is closed until the tank is refilling and you have seen the water run clean.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the tank is disinfected, refilling, and you have seen it for yourself.
North Jeddah is largely newer villa districts and compounds around Obhur and inland from it. Homes here tend to have marble or porcelain floors, large windows and a garden or courtyard, so the routine is set by what comes in from outside: fine sand carried on sandals, and sprinkler spray that dries to a chalky ring on tiles. Near the creek and the coast, sea air leaves a faint salt film on glass and on outdoor cushions, which stiffens fabric. Curtains and upholstery in these open plan rooms catch the dust that settles overnight.
We provide these in Al Lulu too, and more than one can share a single visit.
