The right gear for drinking water
Pumps to clear sludge, scrubbing to remove biofilm, and disinfectant meant for potable storage.

Al Ghadeer is a northern district close to the Red Sea beaches within the Obhur Al Shamaliyah subdivisions, with modern villas set on private plots and gardens, served by major roads including the coastal King Abdulaziz Road and Prince Sultan Road. Tanks here sit directly on house roofs exposed to the sun and sea salt, and wide courtyards and gardens provide ample space for drainage.
All the villas in Al Ghadeer have wide gardens and private walls, and the tanks sit directly on rooftops exposed to sun and salt. For the method itself, see our guide to water tank cleaning.
Every villa has a generous courtyard and garden, so we empty the tank directly into the yard without worry for neighbours or the street. Large outdoor space makes the work easier.
The tank sits on the roof in full sun, which heats the water and encourages algae growth, and salt deposits form layers on the walls and corners.
The location is near well known neighbourhoods and main coastal roads, so we reach any villa easily from King Abdulaziz Road or Prince Sultan Road.

Inspection of a tank on an open roof: we observe the water colour and any algae on the walls from a distance first, then open the lid carefully.
Green water means heavy algae growth; we drain it completely and leave none of the contaminated water behind.
Sediment here is a mix of salt and dead algae; scrubbing needs firm pressure and circular motion sustained for a long time.
Walls and corners carry a green layer that may be thick; we scrub with warm water and weak acid then cold rinse to clear it.
Disinfection in a sunny coastal area is critical; we allow the chemical a full two hours to kill algae and bacteria thoroughly.
The lid may be open vented or loose from heat; we clean salt off it and recommend resealing the ventilation openings.
The supply into the tank is shut and the tank is drained completely.
The sludge on the floor is scooped and pumped out first.
The biofilm on the walls is physically scrubbed off.
With the walls and floor clean, a disinfectant made for drinking-water storage is applied and given time to act on every surface.
The disinfectant and any loosened residue are rinsed down and pumped out, so the first tank of water after us is not carrying it.
We check the cover seal and inlet before refilling, so dust and insects stay out, then start the refill while you watch it run clear.

We send a team, not one person, so a tank is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled in a single visit rather than left open for days.
We look at the lid seal and inlet, because a tank that got dirty fast usually has a way in.
Nothing is closed until the tank is refilling and you have seen the water run clean.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the tank is disinfected, refilling, and you have seen it for yourself.
Al Ghadeer lies close to King Abdulaziz Road and Prince Sultan Road, both main arteries, and near North Corniche Street along the coast. Villas are easily reached from any of these three well known routes.
We provide these in Al Ghadeer too, and more than one can share a single visit.
