We test before we treat
Reading the water first isn't optional to us.

Al Tawfeeq pools face a geographic reality distinct from the rest of Jeddah: the air is much drier, the dust is coarser and darker, and rain is rare. This means humidity does not wash dust away; instead particles accumulate and settle in water and filter media at an accelerated rate, requiring a different approach than coastal pools.
Pools here need filter backwashing more frequently than coastal districts, and nearly daily vacuuming because dry dust settles to the floor rapidly instead of staying suspended. For the method itself, see our guide to swimming pool cleaning.
In coastal districts, humidity keeps dust particles suspended longer, but in east Jeddah the air is dry and particles fall quickly to the bottom. This means the filter catches larger, heavier particles and clogs faster than it would in humid conditions.
Dust in Al Tawfeeq is coarser and greyer than coastal dust because it comes from dry earth and hills, not sea spray. This causes more cloudiness and leaves a grey film in the water that takes longer to settle than salt particles.
On the coast, rain helps clean surfaces and gardens of fine dust. In Al Tawfeeq, rain is rare, so dust accumulates on everything including gardens around the pool, feeding into the water with every breeze or movement.
A small residential district in east Jeddah toward Asfan, within the Taibah sub-municipality, far from the sea and close to open ground and hills, where dry air and desert dust dominate.
Testing chemical balance is important here, but the main challenge is physical particles, not chemistry. Chlorine works fine, but the filter is the real bottleneck limiting pool clarity.
Wall brushing weekly is usually enough because algae grows slowly in dry air, but grey dust residue accumulates and needs regular light cleaning.
Floor vacuuming is nearly daily because coarse dust settles fast. You may need twice-daily vacuuming on days with strong winds or extreme heat.
Skimmer and basket cleaning is daily at minimum because dust fills the skimmer basket rapidly, especially during windy periods or after storms.
Filter backwash is weekly minimum, possibly twice weekly during windy season, because coarse dust clogs the media much faster than finer coastal or sea salt particles.
Resetting chemical balance is weekly, but the real priority here is physical dust removal through frequent vacuuming and backwashing rather than chemical adjustment.
pH, sanitiser and hardness are read at the start.
Floating leaves and debris come off before we brush.
Algae and the oily waterline film cling to the surfaces.
Silt settles in the deep end and the corners the return jets never reach.
The skimmer and pump baskets are cleared and the filter checked or backwashed.
With the water clean, we balance and dose, then walk the pool with you before leaving.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
Mixed districts in east Jeddah like Al Tawfeeq mean pollution comes from below and around: shops emit cooking grease, traffic raises dust, and dry air causes heavy particles to drop fast. Chemistry needs weekly testing, but the filter is the controlling factor here.

The company runs a large crew, and we send a team rather than one person.
Pumps, vacuum heads and the test kit come with the team.
If the pump or the plumbing is the real problem, we tell you.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've seen the result and had your say on it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Tawfeeq too, and more than one can share a single visit.
