We test before we degrease
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Sharafiyah is a busy commercial district: shops, offices and small stores fill the ground floors, and apartments rise above them. The kitchens here are mixed; you might find a small flat kitchen above a café or a food shop. Cooking fumes from the ground floor trades penetrate upward. Removing grease here means understanding which kitchen sent the grease where, and coordinating between two different types of cooking at once.
A single building in Al Sharafiyah often holds multiple kitchens: one small flat above a café, which above a small eatery or shop kitchen. Grease sources overlap and cross-contaminate, making single-flat cleaning incomplete. For the method itself, see our kitchen cleaning service in detail.
Cafés and takeaway shops cook all day below residential kitchens. Grease and smoke rise through wall gaps and ventilation paths into the flats above. Residents see grease on their windows and smell cooking from neighbours below. Treating both at once is essential; treating one alone is wasted effort.
King Fahd Road carries constant traffic, so the dust is darker and oilier than elsewhere. A kitchen opening onto this road sucks in road dust along with outside air. Grease and soot combine into a harder film. Extractor filters clog faster with the mixture.
Flats are packed close, and older pipework and ducting connect them all. Grease smell and moisture travel between units easily. Thin walls do not block heat or smell, so a neighbour's cooking registers in your kitchen.
A dense commercial district along King Fahd Road east of Al Hamra, with apartment blocks above ground floor shops, offices and storerooms. Home to King Saud Mosque, the largest in Jeddah, Dr Bakhsh Hospital and a campus of the University of Jeddah.
Commercial kitchen cabinets here hold heavy grease from all-day cooking and may need door removal. A flat above shares grease migration through walls with the shop below.
Commercial extractor hoods may be old industrial units or basic domestic models. Filters clog fast with the mixed dust and grease from the road and the kitchen below.
Ovens in shops run many hours daily and accumulate burnt food and old deposits. Flats above show smoke staining on walls and ceilings from inadequate extraction below.
Tiles vary: shop floor may be industrial ceramic or concrete, flat above may be domestic tile or none. Grout lines in older shops hold deep stains from years of soot and grease.
Sinks differ greatly: shop may have a commercial triple sink or simple unit with a grease trap, flat above has a domestic sink feeding into shared drainage.
Floors in shops are hard-wearing industrial ceramic or polished concrete, often stained black from soot and oil. Flats above may have marble or wooden floors that smell musty from dampness wicking up from below.
Painted cabinets, laminate, natural stone and stainless steel do not take the same degreaser.
We start high, the tops of cabinets and the hood, and work down to the floor.
The degreaser is put on the heavy areas and given time to break the oil down before it is wiped.
The metal filter carries the worst of the grease and is soaked and worked on its own, not just wiped in place, because a clogged filter puts the oil straight back into the air.
The burners, the tiled splash and the grout lines take focused work, since the grout darkens first and a flat wipe passes over it.
We go over the kitchen with you before the team leaves.
Commercial area: offices, showrooms and small stores
In a commercial mixed-use district, the kitchen in the flat above is downwind of kitchens below that work longer hours. Grease settles on flat surfaces that do not belong to you, and smell seeps through walls.
Testing the solution on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The degreasers and tools come with the team.
If what the kitchen needs is a repair or pest treatment rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Al Sharafiyah runs along King Fahd Road near the King Saud Mosque and Dr Bakhsh Hospital, both major local landmarks that help identify building access points. Buildings here are numbered and organised along this main street, and we coordinate entry based on your building's location.
We provide these in Al Sharafiyah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
