We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Quba is a small quiet residential district in north Jeddah near University of Jeddah Road and the international airport, with open ground surrounding it on multiple sides. The curtains trap coarse dust from the main road and fine sand from the desert ground around the area. Its position between the city and the open plateau means the dust is coarser and paler than in southern districts. Cleaning here demands understanding a location caught between urban and semi-rural environments.
Curtains here soil faster than deep inner city flats but slower than industrial zones, with fine sand and dust settling readily. For the method itself, see our guide to curtain cleaning.
Quba sits near University Road and faces open, semi-desert ground from several directions. The expressway sends larger heavier particles than inner city dust, and the open ground sends fine sand that settles easily. Curtains trap both types, and shaking and dry vacuum remove the surface but fine particles work deep into the weave.
Quba is neither in the city centre nor in the desert, and this middle ground means curtains face both types of soiling. Heat from the desert and distance from humid coastal areas create a relatively dry climate where mould is not a major problem. But dust settles and lingers without strong ventilation constantly moving it.
Quba is compact and has no heavy industry or dense commercial zones unlike larger districts. Streets are relatively clean and traffic lighter, but proximity to the airport means aircraft noise and vibration affect comfort rather than curtain cleanliness. Cleaning here is less pressurised than in crowded districts but equally important.
A small quiet residential district in north Jeddah close to University of Jeddah Road and the international airport, with open undeveloped land surrounding the area and main roads connecting it to the city and ring roads.
The transitional location between city and desert means testing fabric carefully to confirm coarse dust has not weakened it unexpectedly.
Removing curtains from hooks is relatively straightforward because the district is small and humidity is lower, so metal hardware has not corroded heavily.
Dry vacuum and shaking are balanced here, needing neither vigorous shaking nor very gentle action, a moderate method suits the mixed dust type.
Marks from trapped dust or light moisture need treatment, but the main problem is dry particles rather than oils or salt.
Washing method is moderate, not vigorous like industrial zones and not gentle like coastal areas, suited to mixed dry dust.
Drying is relatively natural and fast because air is dry and humidity low, so fabric dries safely without moisture clinging afterwards.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Quba too, and more than one can share a single visit.
