We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Sarawat is an industrial district in south Jeddah with large warehouses, workshops and loading yards sitting alongside scattered homes. The dust here is not street dust: it is a mixture of diesel, iron filings, flour and workshop solutions. Curtains collect a heavy grey film and oily coating seeping from nearby workshops. Homes in this area live next to industry, and the curtains bear witness to that reality in their soiling.
Curtains in Al Sarawat accumulate black and oily deposits rapidly, even if the distance from workshops is hundreds of metres. For the method itself, see the full curtain cleaning page.
Dust from workshops and small factories carries machine oil, ground metal, fibres and paint particles. It does not shake loose like simple household dust. It clings with an oily bond and needs soaking to break the grease before washing. Shaking alone removes only the surface. Wet vacuum may be necessary to extract particles driven into the weave.
Bad smells from workshops do not vanish with ordinary suction. They need soaking in a neutral solution with a longer soak than normal. Standard treatment is not enough. We add extra steps to deal with odour that has penetrated deep.
Houses in Al Sarawat may sit close to workshops, warehouses or loading bays. Curtains absorb oily damp and industrial dust. Cleaning here is closer to workshop or restaurant curtain cleaning than ordinary home cleaning.
The district is close to the Industrial City, the southern corniche and Al Laith Road, surrounded by warehouses, metal shops, auto repair yards and paint facilities. The air carries industrial particles throughout each day.
In the industrial district, we examine curtains carefully for the type of ash and oil present. Black deposits may be iron, flour, or diesel. Each needs slightly different handling in the solution.
Taking down is careful work if the curtain is heavy from soil. Fabric loaded with oil may be damp and limp. We unhook gently to avoid tearing weakened material.
Dry shaking removes loose dust. But oil needs soaking before vacuum. We may spray a mild solution and let the curtain rest minutes before wet vacuuming to break the grease bond.
Black stains from oily dust need strong solution. Brown stains from rust or paint need isolated treatment. Each type of mark is addressed according to its cause.
Cleaning method here may include long soaking with gentle agitation, then washing in moderately strong neutral solution. Wet vacuum may be necessary to extract oil residue from the weave.
Drying happens in a well ventilated space. Oil can leave a waxy layer if dried without adequate air movement. We use strong fans and continuous ventilation.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
Al Sarawat sits about 3.5 km from Al Khumrah and about 4.5 km from Al Sarawriyah.

We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Industrial area: workshops, warehouses and loading yards
Industrial means oily, heavy dust and persistent bad smells. Curtains here are not simply soiled: they are saturated with industrial residue. Treatment differs from ordinary residential cleaning and resembles workshop or restaurant curtain cleaning.
We provide these in Al Sarawat too, and more than one can share a single visit.
