The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Shati is a coastal district fronting the Jeddah Corniche and the Red Sea, where high humidity and salt-laden air persist all year. Chandeliers here dim not only from dust but from a fine salt film that settles on glass and metal and dulls the light itself. Cleaning requires care because metal frames start to corrode early in a coastal environment, and water and salt can damage expensive furnishings in the villas and hotel flats around them.
Salt does not just leave a white film on windows; it works into metal and starts rust very early, even on fixtures that do not look old, and the humid air keeps dust particles moist so they adhere longer and are harder to remove. For the method itself, see the full chandelier cleaning page.
Salt in the air settles on every metal surface, not just the exterior: the frame, arms and internal wiring are all under attack. Rust may start early and only show when the fixture is dismantled, so we inspect closely and tell you honestly if there are corrosion spots that might affect safety or longevity.
Damp air means drying takes longer than in drier districts, and salt does not fully dry without heat applied. We use better drying techniques and dry each piece carefully before reassembly because leftover moisture will restart rust within days in a coastal climate.
Most chandeliers here hang in hotel suites or holiday villas where furnishings and floors are expensive and easily marked by water and salt. We protect everything beneath the fixture with care and never let water drip onto furniture or floors, because the reputation of the place depends on these small details.
Al Shati sits on the Jeddah Corniche with hotels and landmarks directly on the shore, including the Al Rahmah floating mosque, Red Sea Mall and the open Al Shati Market, and high humidity penetrates every building throughout the day and into the night.
Chandeliers in Al Shati are often luxury pieces: Belgian or Austrian crystal with gold-plated brass, and they are very sensitive. We inspect them closely before dismantling, watch for corrosion at suspension points and for thin wires that might have weakened.
Wiring in hotel suites and coastal villas is usually safe and modern, but humidity may have entered the conduit. We isolate power carefully and confirm the space is safe before starting, and waiting for everything to cool is essential in humid environments.
Photography before dismantling is detailed: every component, every wire, every attachment point, because luxury fixtures do not forgive errors in sequence or positioning.
Each piece is washed separately in treated water, crystal is rinsed in filtered water slightly warmed, and metals are dried immediately with soft cloth to leave no fingerprints or water marks.
Frame, arms and all metal conduit are inspected and cleaned of any salt residue or early rust spots, and we watch for weak points or corrosion that has begun, reporting honestly if there are issues that will affect durability.
Assembly is done with high precision, each piece in its exact position, and testing before power is restored is thorough: every wire, every component, every connection point, and the light works and shines evenly before we ask for your approval.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Coastal area: high humidity and salt air through the year
Coastal means salt and humidity never sleep: every metal component is under constant threat, and rust can start inside even when the surface looks clean. We understand this relentless pressure and work fast and carefully because time and moisture are enemies here.
We provide these in Al Shati too, and more than one can share a single visit.
