The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Sahifah is an old central district adjoining historic Jeddah on its seaward side, with aged urban fabric interwoven with newer apartment buildings and commercial activity on every corner. Chandeliers hang in small flats with low ceilings, in the midst of busy streets, shops and restaurants. Dust, smoke and humidity from the crowded street make frequent professional cleaning essential.
Chandeliers in Al Sahifah accumulate grime rapidly from crowded street traffic, cooking smoke from shops and restaurants, and the small flats mean furniture is packed tight, leaving limited space to work. For the method itself, see our chandelier cleaning service in detail.
Al Sahifah sits in the heart of the city, with a busy street constantly full of people, cars and motorcycles. Smoke from restaurants and shops rises directly into the upper flats, and grease deposits on the chandeliers rapidly. Cleaning every two months instead of three is essential here.
Flats here are old and cramped, with low ceilings and furniture packed in close. The chandelier may hang in a sitting room just 3 by 4 metres. Dismantling and cleaning demands care to avoid striking the furniture or walls with equipment or the fixture itself.
Al Sahifah sits close to the sea and port, with very high humidity and salt deposits constantly settling on metal. Crystal develops mildew and metal corrodes rapidly. Heat and moisture together slow drying after washing.
Located in central old Jeddah adjacent to historic Jeddah, wedged between Al Balad, Al Ammariyah, Al Kandarah and Al Sabil, with Old Makkah Road bounding it to the north and King Abdulaziz Road running through it. The old urban fabric is interleaved with newer apartment buildings, and shops and small businesses are active throughout.
Chandeliers in Al Sahifah are highly varied in age and condition, so we inspect each individually and choose a cleaning method suited to its age, material and the high humidity of a coastal location.
Before we cut power, we inspect all wiring and connections with great care, because humidity and salt may already have significantly weakened them in a district close to the sea.
We photograph the fixture from the angles available before dismantling; the confined space may limit the photograph angles we can achieve.
Each piece is washed in warm fresh water with appropriate gentle cleaner, paying close attention to removing salt, moisture and grease deposits.
The frame and arms are cleaned of rust and salt deposits using safe methods, then inspected to confirm no deep permanent corrosion has occurred.
After complete reassembly, we power the fixture on and watch it carefully in the confined space to confirm all bulbs light evenly and no faults remain.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
Apartment district: residential blocks, repeated floors and shared entrances
Apartment district means residential blocks with shared entrances and repeated floors, so coordination with neighbours and the building is necessary. Small flats demand special care to protect furnishings, and the high humidity from the coast requires careful electrical inspection before any work begins.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Al Sahifah sits between Old Makkah Road to the north and King Abdulaziz Road running through the district. King Abdulaziz Mosque and Bab Sharif are nearby landmarks that help us pinpoint locations and navigate to individual flats within the dense central area.
We provide these in Al Sahifah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
