We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Balbeid is a newly developing area within the Obhur Al Shamaliyah scheme in north Jeddah with complete basic services but complaints of deteriorating asphalt and poor rainwater drainage. Modern homes with marble and porcelain floors sit here, and salt-laden humidity from the sea combined with weak drainage slows carpet drying significantly.
Marble and porcelain floors stay damp longer because of poor drainage, and carpet beside them retains moisture from underneath. For the method itself, see the full carpet and rug cleaning page.
Polished marble and porcelain in Balbeid gloss but retain salt moisture. Fine sand leaves light scratches on them. Carpet beside marble may hide sand and salt underneath. Forceful dry vacuuming removes grit before washing.
Streets hold rainwater, and moisture enters homes from below. Fitted carpet may trap moisture underneath. We extract at very high pressure and use air movers to ensure complete drying.
Large windows in Balbeid let salt air in freely. Salt deposits on curtains and carpet together. Washing removes salt from carpet, but damp curtains can transfer salt back if not cleaned separately.
A new development scheme with basic infrastructure complete but problems with rainwater drainage and weak road surfaces affecting moisture retention.
New carpet in Balbeid may be wool or synthetic. We identify the fibre type and test a corner with warm water before full extraction to confirm the heat is safe.
Dry vacuuming in Balbeid must be forceful because moisture makes grit heavier. We vacuum several times before washing to remove all loose particles.
Stains here are salt, moisture marks, or grit scratches. We test a corner first to identify the stain type and what can be lifted.
New fibre needs moderate warmth and aggressive extraction. Excess moisture may cause dye bleeding, so we extract hard after washing to prevent that.
Fitted carpet may sit on a damp slab because of poor local drainage. We extract at very high pressure and measure moisture levels. Air movers may be essential to dry underneath.
Final drying in Balbeid needs extended air circulation because ground-level moisture can slow evaporation. We may run air movers for many hours or overnight to ensure the carpet and the floor below are both dry.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
In a new development, poor drainage and salt humidity slow drying, and marble floors hold moisture that can migrate to adjacent carpet. We extract at higher pressure than established areas and use air movers to ensure complete drying under fitted carpet and prevent mildew.
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
North Jeddah is largely newer villa districts and compounds around Obhur and inland from it. Homes here tend to have marble or porcelain floors, large windows and a garden or courtyard, so the routine is set by what comes in from outside: fine sand carried on sandals, and sprinkler spray that dries to a chalky ring on tiles. Near the creek and the coast, sea air leaves a faint salt film on glass and on outdoor cushions, which stiffens fabric. Curtains and upholstery in these open plan rooms catch the dust that settles overnight.
We provide these in Balbeid too, and more than one can share a single visit.
