The gear reaches the scale
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.

Al Rimal is a newly developing district at the far south of Jeddah, with active construction and vacant plots between the occupied homes. Heavy goods vehicles and workshop operations pump dark diesel soot into the air continuously, and this oily industrial dust sticks to every surface far more than ordinary dust does. Bathroom grout lines blacken quickly from soot combined with coastal moisture, and mirrors become opaque with layered grime.
Bathrooms in Al Rimal collect thick black soot faster than any other area in Jeddah, and industrial dust clings to curtains and glass immediately because coastal humidity makes it adhesive. For the method itself, see the full bathroom cleaning page.
Al Rimal sits between the port and the industrial zone on the heavy goods corridor, so diesel soot pours from truck exhausts and workshop machinery continuously. This soot mixed with sea air humidity bonds to every surface and does not wash away easily. Grout lines and floor tiles turn black from this mixture, and routine mopping will not remove it. The bonded soot needs chemical treatment and careful scrubbing to lift without scratching the tile.
Beneath the black soot layer, living mould grows rapidly from constant coastal moisture. The mould weakens tile and grout internally even if the surface soot is removed. After soot removal the grout must be treated with specialist antimould products because the mould is active and will resurface within weeks without treatment.
Older houses and new developments in Al Rimal often have plain cement floors or low grade ceramic tile. Soot entering under doors gets walked onto the floor, and without sweeping first, mopping grinds the soot into the ceramic and scratches the surface while darkening the colour permanently. True cleaning of the floor requires deep sweeping first, then specialist soot treatment for what remains bonded to the tile.
A subdivision in far south Jeddah with ongoing construction and empty land between houses, close to the Al Lith Road and the ring highway serving industrial traffic.
Before starting, we check the floor, grout and glass for soot depth and hidden mould underneath, so we select the right products and time needed for the work.
Limescale on taps is mixed with black soot, so we remove soot first, then treat the scale separately to avoid scratching the metal finish.
Grout joints in an industrial area need very long soak time and specialist antimould treatment for the living mould beneath the soot, each joint worked individually with care.
Glass and mirrors carry layers of soot, salt and scale combined, so we clean them in stages from edges toward the centre until they are completely transparent.
Drains in industrial bathrooms need full clearing because soot blocks the pipes, and the vent opening must be checked and confirmed working after all work is done.
After finishing, strong ventilation and rapid drying are essential to prevent moisture and mould returning quickly. Doors and windows stay open for hours after the work.
We open the room, take everything off the ledges and shelves, and lift loose hair from the drains before any water or chemical goes down.
Scale on glass, taps and the shower head is not scrubbed off cold.
The joints are treated and scrubbed along the line, top to bottom, because film sits in the porous grout and a flat wipe never enters it.
The bowl, the base joint and the floor trap are done as one stage, since this is where odour lives.
What the products loosened is lifted off, and everything is rinsed downward so nothing dirty settles back onto a cleaned surface.
The damp low corners are dried so nothing feeds mould again, then we walk the room with you.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
A new development means active construction and heavy machinery bringing industrial dust and diesel soot continuously. For the bathroom, this means heavier soot and mould than in established districts, and grout and floors need stronger and longer treatment.
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.
We send a team, not a single person.
Where scale has already etched the glass or mould has stained the grout for good, we tell you at the inspection.
Nothing is called done until you have walked the room and said so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Rimal too, and more than one can share a single visit.
