The right gear for drinking water
Pumps to clear sludge, scrubbing to remove biofilm, and disinfectant meant for potable storage.

Al Karamah is a newly planned residential district on the eastern edge of south Jeddah, between Al Lith Road and the Middle Ring Road. Villas and apartments are modern, but tanks here gather coastal humidity, road dust and heavy truck traffic all at once, so water clouds quickly and its smell changes every month.
Modern tanks in Al Karamah cloud very fast from humidity and oily dust from heavy trucks, and the water smell changes visibly every month. For the method itself, see the full water tank cleaning page.
Al Karamah is close to the sea and humidity is very high, so green algae grows on tank walls at speed. Black mould appears in corners and on the floor without pause, and routine disinfection is more important here than anywhere else.
The Middle Ring Road and Al Lith Road carry heavy trucks all day, and thick oily dust from diesel and engine oils sticks to the tank outside and enters through any small gap. Water becomes cloudy and smells of fuel.
Al Karamah is relatively new and residents use a lot of water, so the tank drains and fills quickly. Rapid water change speeds up sediment and algae buildup, so regular cleaning is necessary.
Al Karamah sits on Al Lith Road between the port and heavy goods routes on one side and the coast on the other, with high humidity and oily dust everywhere.
Tank inspection in Al Karamah focuses on the lid and seal, because oily dust finds every small gap and enters through it.
Complete and rapid drainage is essential because high humidity speeds algae growth, and the shorter the tank sits empty, the better.
Oily sediment is vacuumed with a machine that does not spread dust in the air, and we clean every oily trace from the floor.
Manual scrubbing with hot water removes clung-on algae and black mould from corners and walls, and hot water helps break up oily sediment.
Disinfection with a strong agent is very important here because of humidity, and the substance is left long enough to kill all algae and bacteria.
Final rinse is done twice to be sure no oily dust or mould remains before final inspection and handover.
The supply into the tank is shut and the tank is drained completely.
The sludge on the floor is scooped and pumped out first.
The biofilm on the walls is physically scrubbed off.
With the walls and floor clean, a disinfectant made for drinking-water storage is applied and given time to act on every surface.
The disinfectant and any loosened residue are rinsed down and pumped out, so the first tank of water after us is not carrying it.
We check the cover seal and inlet before refilling, so dust and insects stay out, then start the refill while you watch it run clear.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
Modern villas and flats together in a district close to heavy truck routes mean the tank faces high pressure from humidity, dust and heavy use, so it needs stronger and more frequent cleaning.
Pumps to clear sludge, scrubbing to remove biofilm, and disinfectant meant for potable storage.
We send a team, not one person, so a tank is drained, cleaned, disinfected and refilled in a single visit rather than left open for days.
We look at the lid seal and inlet, because a tank that got dirty fast usually has a way in.
Nothing is closed until the tank is refilling and you have seen the water run clean.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the tank is disinfected, refilling, and you have seen it for yourself.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Karamah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
