We test before we treat
Reading the water first isn't optional to us.

Quwaizah is one of Jeddah's oldest districts in the south-east between valleys and mountains, a mixed neighbourhood with villas, apartments and shops. Pools here are rare and very old, needing careful testing because the area faced major floods and the ground is wet and mineral deposits are high.
Pools here are very old and owners neglected them for years, so water at first testing is foul with sediment, algae and bacteria from neglect and groundwater contamination. For the method itself, see our guide to swimming pool cleaning.
Wadi Al Qaws was the centre of Jeddah's famous 2009 flood, and soil around the district is damp with risk of foul groundwater entering pools. Seepage carries bacteria and organic pollutants, and water may reach decomposed states requiring complete draining.
The hilly area around Quwaizah carries very high mineral deposits in groundwater. These seep into the soil and pools, leaving thick grey films on walls and floor. Water needs special treatment to remove settled minerals.
Some pools here have not been used for years, and water has turned to foul ponds. The floor is covered in thick mud, algae and bacteria layers, and water is black or brown. Complete draining and mechanical cleaning are necessary before fresh fill.
An old district between Wadi Al Qaws and surrounding hills, lying in the valley and hill belt east of the city, with damp soil and likely groundwater seepage, so water may be polluted with minerals from deep rock.
Testing water first determines pollution level and mineral deposits, and may show complete draining is necessary.
Brushing walls focuses on removing thick grey mineral deposits rather than green algae, and may need special cleaner.
Vacuuming the floor weekly or more because dust, sediment and muddy layers may be very thick.
Cleaning skimmer and baskets weekly or every ten days, and mineral deposits may clog the screens.
Filter backwashing every three to five days at first because heavy mineral deposits clog it quickly.
Chemical balance adjustment needs frequent testing and treatment may differ from other areas because of deposits.
pH, sanitiser and hardness are read at the start.
Floating leaves and debris come off before we brush.
Algae and the oily waterline film cling to the surfaces.
Silt settles in the deep end and the corners the return jets never reach.
The skimmer and pump baskets are cleared and the filter checked or backwashed.
With the water clean, we balance and dose, then walk the pool with you before leaving.

The company runs a large crew, and we send a team rather than one person.
Pumps, vacuum heads and the test kit come with the team.
If the pump or the plumbing is the real problem, we tell you.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've seen the result and had your say on it.
Reaching pools in Quwaizah is near Wadi Al Qaws or Mareekh Mountains, and the old neighbourhood has complex streets, so location needs clear reference from the owner or Umm Al Salm Sub-Municipality.
We provide these in Quwaizah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
