We test before we treat
Reading the water first isn't optional to us.

Al Corniche sits on the Red Sea coast in north Jeddah, a waterfront stretch that faces the sea directly. The coastal environment means high humidity and salt air enters the water and attacks wall finishes every single day. Pools here do not face the challenges of inland neighbourhoods; they face the challenges of sea exposure: salt ingress, continuous moisture, marine algae growth, and rapid metal corrosion.
Pools at the Corniche see wall surfaces deteriorate faster and metal components rust within weeks rather than months, and water itself may absorb salt from airborne spray even when the pool sits well back from the shoreline. For the method itself, see what swimming pool cleaning involves.
Salt spray from the sea suspends in the air and reaches the water directly from wind. This salt raises water alkalinity and triggers different chemical reactions than inland pools experience. Testing alone is not sufficient; the water requires special calibration tailored to coastal salt exposure.
Coastal humidity accelerates algae growth on walls and corrodes metal components within weeks. Copper and iron pipes deteriorate rapidly, and marble wall finishes begin to lose shine and trap moisture quickly, creating conditions for biological growth.
Cleaning equipment, filters and skimmers corrode quickly in salt air. Chemical doses need to be higher than inland neighbourhoods to counter salt effects, and brushing materials must resist rapid deterioration themselves. Maintenance intervals shorten significantly.
Al Corniche is the northern waterfront of Jeddah along the Red Sea, including the North Corniche Street lined with resorts and hotels. Sea breezes carry salt spray throughout the year, depositing minerals continuously on surfaces and into the air.
Testing water at the Corniche includes measuring salt and mineral levels because salt enters from air and wind continuously throughout the year.
Brushing Corniche pool walls requires greater care because marble corrodes from salt exposure, so we use gentle materials and special angles to avoid damaging surfaces.
Floor vacuuming must be thorough at the Corniche because salt minerals and sediment accumulate faster and settle more densely than in inland areas.
The skimmer and baskets at the Corniche fill with sea salt deposits and marine algae, so we clean them with specialist products designed to remove hard mineral and organic buildup.
Filter backwash at the Corniche requires specially controlled water pressure because salt and mineral deposits bind tightly, resisting the lighter pressure suitable for inland filters.
Chemical balance at the Corniche needs weekly monitoring at minimum because salt continuously alters water alkalinity and algae growth accelerates in the moist coastal air.
pH, sanitiser and hardness are read at the start.
Floating leaves and debris come off before we brush.
Algae and the oily waterline film cling to the surfaces.
Silt settles in the deep end and the corners the return jets never reach.
The skimmer and pump baskets are cleared and the filter checked or backwashed.
With the water clean, we balance and dose, then walk the pool with you before leaving.

The company runs a large crew, and we send a team rather than one person.
Pumps, vacuum heads and the test kit come with the team.
If the pump or the plumbing is the real problem, we tell you.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've seen the result and had your say on it.
Coastal area: high humidity and salt air through the year
Coastal location means salt and moisture enter every day, metal corrodes rapidly and wall finishes deteriorate continuously. Chemical treatment requires higher doses and testing demands specialist calibration for salt exposure, not the same standards applied to inland neighbourhoods.
We provide these in Al Corniche too, and more than one can share a single visit.
