We test before we treat
Reading the water first isn't optional to us.

Al Asalah pools face a unique challenge: the new district and continuous building mean dust, sand and workshop grit enter pools constantly. Unfinished ground levels and unasphalt streets raise the contaminant load far above what established old neighbourhoods experience.
Pools here need skimmer and basket cleaning nearly twice daily because dust from construction projects continuously enters from adjacent work sites. For the method itself, see the full swimming pool cleaning page.
Wadi Obhur runs through Al Asalah, and during rare rainy periods it carries sand, silt and pollutants. Even dry, the wadi sends fine sand spray on windy days. This adds extra burden to pools nearby.
Ongoing building throughout the district means excavation, concrete pouring and steel cutting. Concrete dust spreads and enters pools. This dry, gritty dust clogs filters quickly and leaves a white layer on floors and walls.
Most Al Asalah streets are not yet paved, so vehicles and foot traffic easily lift dust. This dust enters gardens and pools. During windy season, this becomes a major pollution source.
A newly established northern district close to King Abdullah Sports City between Madinah Road and the Haramain expressway, with villas and apartments still under construction, where Wadi Obhur passes through and drainage and road infrastructure remain incomplete.
Testing chemical balance is weekly, but the real challenge is physical contaminants from construction and dust. Chlorine works naturally, but filter cleaning and vacuuming are the main priorities.
Wall brushing weekly because concrete dust leaves a white layer, and algae grows slowly here due to heavy suspended matter blocking sunlight.
Floor vacuuming nearly daily because sand and dust settle rapidly in the pool basin.
Skimmer and basket cleaning twice daily because construction dust and wind-blown debris fill the skimmer basket very quickly.
Filter backwash weekly minimum, possibly twice weekly during heavy construction, because concrete and sand clog the media fast. Media replacement may be needed sooner than standard schedules.
Resetting chemical balance is weekly, but the real priority here is physical contaminant removal from construction dust, dirt and sand through frequent vacuuming and backwashing.
pH, sanitiser and hardness are read at the start.
Floating leaves and debris come off before we brush.
Algae and the oily waterline film cling to the surfaces.
Silt settles in the deep end and the corners the return jets never reach.
The skimmer and pump baskets are cleared and the filter checked or backwashed.
With the water clean, we balance and dose, then walk the pool with you before leaving.

The company runs a large crew, and we send a team rather than one person.
Pumps, vacuum heads and the test kit come with the team.
If the pump or the plumbing is the real problem, we tell you.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've seen the result and had your say on it.
Pools in Al Asalah near King Abdullah Sports City and Wadi Obhur require special monitoring. We account for building activity and new street paving, scheduling visits based on construction phases to minimise contaminant entry.
We provide these in Al Asalah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
