Clean first, then disinfect
The common mistake is spraying disinfectant over dirt.

Al Noor is a mixed district in north Jeddah combining new apartments and modern villas with active ground-floor shops. This variety means disinfection here must handle surfaces that vary wildly in type and age: fresh marble in a new villa alongside older ceramic in a flat above a shop, all in the same building. The contamination load from the street-level commerce reaches every level above it.
Ground-floor shop surfaces face constant turnover of customers and staff touching handles and counters throughout the day, so germ accumulation differs vastly from the flat above where the same family members live. The pathogenic load is higher, the species more diverse. For the method itself, see our disinfection and sanitisation service in detail.
A shop needs stronger disinfectant because of higher footfall and diverse customer pathogens. A flat above needs gentler treatment because children and families live there. The same building structure requires two different protocols in one visit. We assess the use of each space and adjust the product and dwell time accordingly.
Many flats and villas in Al Noor are recent or newly furnished. Curtains and soft furnishings trap dust from construction and delivery. Disinfectant must penetrate this trapped powder layer, not just wipe the visible surface. Deep fogging reaches what detergent alone misses.
Residential blocks in Al Noor have shared entry doors, stairwells and landings. These paths carry germs from every flat on those stairs at once. Disinfecting a flat alone leaves the transmission route open: the stairwell and entrance that residents use daily. Flat and shared areas must be treated in the same visit to close the loop.
Al Noor is relatively new, with building work commencing around 2020, so apartment blocks and villas have been added rapidly one after another, still ongoing. Daily foot traffic from shops below brings continuous dust and grime into the residential floors, and new construction sites nearby still generate airborne particles.
Shop surfaces accumulate cooking grease and debris from commercial handling, so pre-cleaning takes longer and is more aggressive. Flats clean faster but construction dust often hides under furnishings and requires careful attention to reach it.
Shared stairwell railings, door handles and light switches are touched by dozens of people daily, so they carry higher pathogen loads than interior flat surfaces and need longer contact time to ensure complete disinfection.
A new flat may have modern sealed pipework and drains, but the shop below may share older common drainage with other businesses. We treat each drain by its actual condition, and may need separate protocols for shop and residential drains.
Food preparation surfaces in a commercial kitchen accumulate different pathogens than a home kitchen because the raw ingredients are more diverse. We do not apply the same contact time or product concentration to both because the risk profile differs.
Shop drains under continuous use carry heavier loads than residential drains, and grout lines are often dirtier. Shop grout needs brushing before disinfection; residential flooring may need only targeted spot treatment on visible soiling.
After disinfection, ventilation in an apartment building needs careful timing so shop odours do not spread into flats above. We open the shop separately first, allow odours to clear, then open residential units to prevent cross-contamination of air.
A move-in, an illness and an after-party aren't the same job.
Grime and grease shield what's under them.
A disinfectant has to stay wet on the surface to work.
Handles, switches, taps and rails are done by hand because they carry the most and need direct contact that fogging alone doesn't give.
Once the hard surfaces are done, a fine fog reaches the air, the fabrics and the corners a cloth can't, settling over what hand-wiping misses.
We open up and air the rooms, then walk the home with you before leaving.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
In a mixed district, a flat above a shop means your family lives with the contamination risk from constant street-level commerce below you.

The company runs a large crew, and we send a team rather than one person.
The foggers and the products come with the team.
If what you need is deep cleaning or mould work rather than disinfection, we tell you.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've seen the result and had your say on it.
Al Noor is bounded by Al Iman Park to the east and Abhor Mall forms a retail ring around the residential areas. We navigate to your unit from the quieter residential entrances, and use the mall and park landmarks to pinpoint exactly which building and level we need to reach.
We provide these in Al Noor too, and more than one can share a single visit.
