The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Kilo 18 is an industrial zone on the Old Makkah Road at the southeast edge of Jeddah near the Bahrah boundary, with workshops, warehouses and loading yards. Chandeliers here are rare, but if present they occupy important offices or main storage buildings. Heavy industrial dust, oils and smoke make cleaning harder and more essential.
Industrial dust, oils and smoke accumulate at an accelerated rate, and any chandelier turns black and oily in weeks rather than months, and cleaning requires stronger solutions than domestic work demands. For the method itself, see our guide to chandelier cleaning.
Factories and warehouses around Kilo 18 emit heavy dust, industrial oils and fumes into the air constantly. Fixtures accumulate layers of black oily dust ten times faster than any residential neighbourhood.
Kilo 18 is far from the city, and the team needs heavy-duty equipment for industrial work. If a fixture exists it occupies an important office or main storage building, and access may need site approval or a visitors badge.
Fixtures in industrial zones are very uncommon and usually valuable, mounted in a prestigious office or key storage facility. Cleaning demands extreme caution, complete documentation and coordination with site management.
The location sits on the Old Makkah Road at the southeast boundary of Jeddah governorate near Bahrah, a developing logistics and industrial area. Specific detail on individual sites is thinly documented in public records.
The fixture here is usually heavy metal and not pure crystal, and may hang from a very high warehouse ceiling.
We cut power at the main breaker. Industrial wiring may carry high voltage or be contaminated with oils.
We photograph the chandelier from several angles. Complete documentation is essential in industrial settings.
We wash crystals and metals with strong approved industrial solutions, drying with heavy-duty cloth.
We clean the frame and arms with soft wire brush and strong damp cloth, drying completely.
We reinstall each piece carefully, switch on power and check the light and mounting thoroughly.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Industrial area: workshops, warehouses and loading yards
Industrial dust and oils accumulate at an accelerated rate, so cleaning requires stronger solutions and faster cycles than domestic work, and the responsibility for valuable equipment is high.
We provide these in Kilo 18 too, and more than one can share a single visit.
