The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Shati Al Thahabi is a modern coastal district in north Jeddah with salty air and high humidity year round. Chandeliers here face a different challenge: salt and moisture make dust stick harder, and leave a white film on the crystal. Cleaning requires special treatment of salt and humidity before washing the crystal.
Sea salt deposits on chandeliers leave a thick white layer, and humidity makes it stick far harder than in inland districts. For the method itself, see our chandelier cleaning service in detail.
Sea air carries fine salt particles that deposit on crystal and metal. The thick white layer needs soaking and deep washing before it comes away.
Coastal humidity makes dust and salt stick harder. The crystal becomes heavy with salt and moisture. Washing in fresh water is essential to remove all the salt.
High humidity from the coast may affect wiring and connections. We check all contacts carefully before cutting the power.
A newly developed coastal zone near the Red Sea within the Obhur Al Shamaliyah plans, with humid air and salt residue that settles on every surface.
We inspect the chandelier type and ceiling mounting, with special attention to humidity and salt marks on the fixtures.
We cut the power with great care, as humidity may be very high. We post a strong warning notice.
We photograph the chandelier from every angle with precision, recording each piece's order and salt deposits.
We wash each piece in warm fresh water, soaking salt first then washing carefully to avoid scratching crystal.
Frame and arms are wiped of salt and oxidation with great care, and spaces between arms are thoroughly cleaned.
Each piece is reassembled in its exact order, power is restored carefully, and full lighting is checked from below.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.

We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Coastal area: high humidity and salt air through the year
A coastal zone means sea salt and humidity are the main enemy, not ordinary dust. Each piece needs soaking and deep washing to remove salt completely. More frequent cleaning is essential here than in inland neighbourhoods.
We provide these in Al Shati Al Thahabi too, and more than one can share a single visit.
