The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Khumrah is a large villa district in south Jeddah, with very high ceilings and ornate fixtures in spacious rooms. The villas are modern and the furniture expensive, so the team must bring specialised equipment and work with great care to avoid any damage to valuable pieces. Photographs before dismantling protect every fine detail, and refitting happens slowly and with precision.
Modern villas hold imported chandeliers worth considerable sums, and the high ceilings mean cleaning requires specialist equipment and a trained team familiar with working at height. For the method itself, see our guide to chandelier cleaning.
Chandeliers are imported from Europe and the Gulf, and ceilings run four metres or higher. The height means lowering and raising the fixture requires sturdy ladders or a mobile tower. Breaking a single small piece means a significant loss, so every movement is deliberate and careful.
Furniture in the room is new and valuable, and floors are glossy marble or ceramic. Water and dust must be controlled completely, and any scratch on the flooring shows immediately. The team works as though the room below is a showroom and nothing may be disturbed.
The new villa has wiring clearly documented and strong ceiling mounts. But we still need to read the electrical blueprint to find the correct circuit. Imprecision could cut power to all the lights in the villa at once.
A large family villa district spread across wide areas in south Jeddah, close to Al Lith Road and the industrial zone, with high ceilings and private gardens surrounding each villa.
Close inspection of the ornate fixture shows the crystal type, mount quality and wiring. New villas are usually well documented, and we check the plans carefully.
Power is cut at the main breaker after identifying the correct circuit. New villas usually have clear breaker labelling, but we verify with the owner before proceeding.
Photographs before dismantling are professional grade because the ornate fixture is complex and its details are delicate and beautiful and must be exactly remembered.
Each piece is washed with great care in warm water and specialist crystal soap, and fine crystal needs protection from scratching throughout the process.
The frame and arms are cleaned as gently as the finest details, and gold-plated and silver-plated metals need care to avoid tarnishing or scratching during the process.
Refitting is done with great deliberation, wiring is connected with precision, the light is turned on, and the result is inspected from every angle in the room to ensure perfect placement.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Al Khumrah is a large district filling south Jeddah between Al Lith Road and the Al Shaabi Stadium, with villas spread across a wide planned layout. Access to the villas is straightforward via the wide planned roads, and the team finds convenient parking close to each villa.
We provide these in Al Khumrah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
