The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Basateen is a district of large villas in north Jeddah near the airport, where every home sits on a generous private plot with its own garden and boundary wall. Chandeliers hang in open-plan living spaces and dining rooms with high ceilings, and because the sea is close, the breeze carries a constant drift of humidity and faint salt that settles on every surface.
Most Al Basateen villas have dedicated entries, wide staircases and unusually high ceilings, and the chandeliers are often high end with genuine crystals or precious metal plating in gold or bronze. For the method itself, see what chandelier cleaning involves.
Al Basateen sits very close to the corniche and the sea, so salt laden air affects metals and crystals quite differently from inland districts. Salt deposits on the frame and arms even when invisible to the eye, and cleaning demands a specialist approach that does not damage plating.
Al Basateen homes house chandeliers that rank among the most valuable hanging furnishings, with intricate details, many arms and heavy crystals. Removal and reinstatement demands high skill to prevent breakage or loss of pieces.
Every home has a large garden and open air exposure, and in summer the inland wind carries dust from dried grass and soil. This dust enters villas through tall windows and glass doors and settles on chandeliers quickly and visibly.
A villa district in north Jeddah between the coast and the airport, each home stands alone on a large plot with private gardens, and proximity to the sea means salty air through most of the year.
Most Al Basateen villas have exceptionally strong, high ceilings, and professional installation is standard. We inspect the hanging point, fasteners and support structure thoroughly before any other step.
We isolate power at the circuit breaker for the chandelier if one exists, otherwise at the main board. We then confirm twice that current is completely off using a test meter.
We photograph every detail of the chandelier from all angles before removal, and make notes about the placement of each piece, especially where parts look identical.
Each crystal and small metal component is washed in clean warm water and left to dry on a clean soft towel, never air dried near dust or disturbance.
The frame and arms are cleaned with special attention to the narrow gaps between arms where salt and airborne oils concentrate and are hard to reach.
After refitting we power the lights on and stand with you to confirm the result, making sure every piece is in place and the illumination is correct.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Villa district: private plots, gardens and a boundary wall to every house
Villa homes here are spacious and typically furnish high end, valuable chandeliers, so the work demands skilled hands and adequate time per piece. Al Basateen means affluent homes where a chandelier is not merely a light fitting but a valued furniture piece.
We provide these in Al Basateen too, and more than one can share a single visit.
