We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Jawharah in south Jeddah is a mixed district where car sales and repair workshops occupy ground floors and apartments and villas fill the storeys above. Carpets in upper flats absorb extra humidity from the shops and grease from the repair bays. Deep extraction must reach the base and pull out both moisture and oily residue together.
Carpet in upper floor flats requires more frequent professional cleaning because moisture from shops and grease vapour from repair bays rise continuously through the building. For the method itself, see our guide to carpet and rug cleaning.
Car repair shops on the ground floor release grease spray and metal particles. These rise through the building via air currents and settle in carpet on the storeys above. Heavy grease does not lift with warm water alone.
Ground floor shops retain higher humidity than upper floor flats. This moisture rises by heat and ventilation. Carpets stay damp longer after cleaning than they would in single-level homes.
Repair shop grease has a strong odour. Even after thorough washing, carpet may retain faint grease smell. Extra odour treatment is needed during the final rinse to eliminate it completely.

Al Jawharah carpet is mostly synthetic in flats and occasionally wool in villas. We sort quickly because wool is sensitive to heavy grease exposure.
Dry vacuuming starts first to remove particles and grit. Then we apply degreaser before any hot water touches the pile.
Oil and grease stains need separate pre-treatment with a degreaser before general washing. Spot treatment breaks down grease before hot extraction removes residue.
Hot water is essential to lift grease. Wool carpet is treated carefully with moderate water, while synthetics tolerate hotter temperatures that help break grease bonds.
Fitted carpet in common areas stays in place and is extracted with very strong suction to eliminate both dampness and odour that rises from below.
Wet extraction and active drying are critical. We deploy powerful fans and suction equipment to speed drying and prevent the building's moisture from rehydrating the fibres.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.

The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
Al Jawharah sits near Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium and close to Abdulaziz Abdullah Sharbatly Mosque, both surrounded by car sales and repair workshops. Carpets here need extraction calibrated for this specific grease and humidity combination.
We provide these in Al Jawharah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
