We test before we treat
Reading the water first isn't optional to us.

Al Shati sits on the Jeddah Corniche facing the Red Sea, and salt air and humidity work on pool metal and water every hour of every day. Pools here need different care than inland districts because salt and dampness accelerate corrosion and degrade the chemical balance faster.
Metal rusts much faster here and the filter carries salt deposits from constant high humidity. The water itself needs stronger chemical protection than it would inland, and daily testing is essential rather than weekly. For the method itself, see our swimming pool cleaning service in detail.
Salt air reaches every pool on the Corniche. Iron steps, handrails, pipes and pump housings begin to rust rapidly. The pump, filter and ladder need weekly inspection at minimum because rust weakens structures and can cause sudden failure.
Humidity means the water loses sanitiser far more rapidly than in districts far from the sea. Daily testing is necessary, and chlorine doses may be needed every two days instead of weekly. The balance drifts faster than anywhere else in Jeddah.
Salt carried on the air settles on pool walls and this triggers algae growth that resists the usual brushing. Both green and black algae appear here much faster than in inland areas, and they grip the tile harder.
On the Jeddah Corniche itself, between King Abdulaziz Road and the Red Sea, with seafront hotels, mosques and markets along the water. Salt air arrives constantly from the water and never fully clears.
Al Shati water carries salt from high humidity, and salinity testing first reveals whether the water needs replacement or additional chemical treatment before anything else is attempted.
Walls collect thick layers of salt and stubborn algae, and brushing must be deep and vigorous to remove the hard salt deposits that accumulate fast on coastal pool tile.
The pool floor holds salt sediment that differs from ordinary sand, and vacuuming must focus on these heavier salt deposits that do not flow easily during the vacuum cycle.
The skimmer fills quickly with salt-formed algae and crystalline mineral deposits, and frequent cleaning is needed because salt returns to the basket very fast.
Filter backwashing needs abundant fresh water because salt demands thorough rinsing, and the backwash cycle must run longer than in inland areas to clear the salt from the media.
Chemical balance needs near-daily checking, chlorine is lost fast due to high humidity, and dosing may be needed every two days instead of weekly, making regular monitoring essential.
pH, sanitiser and hardness are read at the start.
Floating leaves and debris come off before we brush.
Algae and the oily waterline film cling to the surfaces.
Silt settles in the deep end and the corners the return jets never reach.
The skimmer and pump baskets are cleared and the filter checked or backwashed.
With the water clean, we balance and dose, then walk the pool with you before leaving.

The company runs a large crew, and we send a team rather than one person.
Pumps, vacuum heads and the test kit come with the team.
If the pump or the plumbing is the real problem, we tell you.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've seen the result and had your say on it.
Coastal area: high humidity and salt air through the year
Coastal location means salt in the air attacks every metal part, high humidity causes faster metal corrosion than any other Jeddah district, and the water itself is far more vulnerable to salt contamination from sea air and moisture.
We provide these in Al Shati too, and more than one can share a single visit.
