We work empty homes daily
An empty home is a different job from a lived-in one, it exposes everything and lets us reach it.

Al Yaman is one of the four historic quarters inside the old walled city of Jeddah, and cleaning here differs completely from modern districts. The buildings are ancient stone and timber, streets are narrow and the fabric is historic and cannot bear modern use. Cleaning must be extremely careful: old wood can split, stone erodes from water, and historic floors are fragile.
Humidity in the historic quarters is very high because streets are narrow and buildings crowd densely, and mould grows fast on old stone and timber. For the method itself, see how we approach move-in and move-out cleaning.
Buildings in Al Yaman are built from very ancient stone and timber. The stone may be weak and timber can split from pressure. Cleaning must be extremely careful and use neither strong force nor hot water.
Streets in Al Yaman are very narrow and air does not refresh easily. Humidity accumulates and mould grows fast on walls and floors. Cleaning must focus on ventilation and moisture removal.
Homes in the quarter are built touching each other and share entries. Traces of accumulated use from decades stand on walls, floors and ceilings. Deep cleaning needs long time and great care.
Al Yaman sits in the southern part of the old city south of Souk Al Alawi street, mixing housing and trade in an extremely dense urban fabric. Streets are very narrow and buildings stand close together, with humidity entering from all sides and air stagnant.
Cupboards may be built into stone and walls, and cleaning must be extremely careful not to cause damage.
Kitchens in historic homes may be tiny corner spaces with poor ventilation.
Bathrooms may be genuinely very old, with moisture a constant problem and mould persistent.
Floors are ancient stone or timber, needing careful handling and no harsh chemicals.
Windows and tracks may be very narrow and shutters old timber, requiring careful cleaning.
Doors, switches and fittings may be very old metal, and can break from pressure.
We go room to room, note the condition, and agree what's dirt to clean versus damage to report.
Ceiling corners, vents, light fixtures, tops of cabinets and doors, dusted before any water touches a surface, so we're not turning that dust into streaks lower down.
Empty is the moment.
Degrease the counters and fronts, then clean the walls and floor where the stove and fridge stood.
Scale on glass and taps and the grout between tiles is broken down, not just wiped over.
Floors come last, after the dust above has settled and been cleared.
Al Yaman sits about 0.5 km from Al Sahifah and about 0.5 km from Historic Jeddah.

We send a team, not one person.
Degreasers, descalers and machines arrive with the team.
At the walk-through we tell you plainly what's cleaned and what's wear the clean can't fix, so you're not surprised at your own handover.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we don't leave until you've walked the property and told us what you think.
Al Yaman sits near Souk Al Alawi and Hassan Annani Mosque, and is entered from Al Alawi Street which bounds the historic city from the north. Access to homes depends on knowing the narrow lanes.
We provide these in Al Yaman too, and more than one can share a single visit.
